Oh, almost forgot. I use Excel to make the layout base, that is, a 24-section pie chart with each section colored appropriately. I use PDN to add vectors, extra wedges, and the center circle.

I second Paint.NET. It has many plugins you can install to improve functionality- I use the Effects plugin (which includes drop shadow and center, two essential features), along with the Outline Object plugin, to make all of the wedges from scratch. You can do a lot with it if you take the time to play around with it.
I make each individual wedge, then put them together in a blank wheel layout, putting each wedge in a different layer. These layers make it easy to swap out wedges if I need to.

Are they good layout ideas? Absolutely. Great way to use all multiples of 50 from 300-950 without changing any extras. I'd even step it up a notch and for R4, change the two purple $500s to $1000 and $1500 and the $950 to $2000. Are they going to listen to you? Definitely not.

If I could add $550, $650, $850, and $950 to at least one of these layouts... XD
Now, MarioGS, in regards to those conceptual layouts I did for season 32, I feel there is a hint of possibility. A friend of mine over at DA asked the show for a VIP package because he wanted one of those $1000 wedges, even after I told him they were fake (I have a purplish-pink one myself that I got for my 20th birthday a while back). I was doubtful they would listen, but guess what? He got the package free of charge! If they listened to his request for a VIP package, I think they may listen to my ideas.

That was nice of Wheel. I have the purple one, too. They also make them in red, orange, yellow, green, and blue. They had tons of them for people to pose with in a special photo booth they had at the Venetian during the recent tapings there. But changing something on the show which affects how much money they give out and are changes for all of America to see is much different than just sending someone a box with free stuff with WOF logos on it.

There was a place near me called Collections that had a whole bunch of scripts and signed memorabilia. One of them was an autographed orange wedge by Pat & Vanna and a little certificate that said "the 4 sides of this square represent 4 tickets". Not sure if they were VIP or not, but he could have easily trolled customers by putting in a circular certificate. It sold for $60, but I never got it. It closed 3 years ago. BTW, do these wedges use the actual wheel font or Clarendon?

Great work on those wheels, Mario, especially that yellow $500 with the Wild Card on it. There's something about it that makes it stand out from every other wedge with an add-on, perhaps the combination of colors...

It uses Clarendon like the older top dollar wedges, but the digits are outlined and shadowed like the current ones. This is what the orange one looks like: And did the VIP certificate look like this? If so, it was legit. I won a VIP package at a penny social I went to a few months ago (that's where dozens of raffle drawings are done for all kinds of prizes). I didn't even know they had one up for grabs until I was there, so it was lucky for me. Every VIP package I see always has some different combination of items. Mine had a baseball cap (purple), a mini-wedge (purple), a keychain, a tote bag (dark green), talking Pat and Vanna keychains, two pens (one orange, one green), and the VIP certificate for 4 passes. Others I've seen have had T-shirts, duffel bags, and the Wheel PC game.

Yes! It looked just like that. It only had the wedge and certificate, but it was kept inbetween 2 pieces of plexiglass to protect it. They should do mini Million Wedges.

They should do mini Million Wedges. They should, but the last time I spoke with Mark before he passed, he and everyone in WOF (or basically Sony) are not allowed to take requests by law. Hopefully we'll see something like this in the future. Or at least make replicas of the envelopes, which in my opinion would be very easy to make since I have a real one used in the 90's apparently. It's just foamboard, glitter and tape basically.

everyone in WOF (or basically Sony) are not allowed to take requests by law. Someone should request to keep vowels at $250

Nice job on the early to mid 90's layout, Mario! By the way, what font did you use for the GIFT Tag? I personally like that better than the last 1 you made, which all the letters were lowercase in the word, "GIFT."
