Right, so apologies aside...
I can't believe it's already Friday! With a busy weekend in front of us, our week will be on in no time! It's hard to believe it's been 2 1/2 months since we were in Culver City...
I do concur with Kate, though, and maybe Sanam can support this theory as well. Because of the fact that it went so quickly and the game atmosphere is so surreal, I'm interested to see what it looks like on television.
Sanam, was your experience versus what you saw on television vastly different and did anything surprise you by what you saw?

Yes...it's definitely SO different. Even being there was so amazing because it's so different than it looks on TV.
The experience - although only 22 minutes - is so thrilling and very hard to capture on TV. Plus there is so much editing that happens post production. Also, it's impossible for the audience to understand what's going on in your mind when you are spinning, calling a vowel, or solving - so it's easy for people to judge you.
Unfortunately, the debut of my episode wasn't nearly as exciting as it was to actually be there. But it will definitely go down as one of the best days of my life because I've wanted to be on the show since I was about 5 years old.

See? After reading the episode recaps, I'm wondering if the three of us were exciting enough to make for a good episode.
All I do know is that it was a dream come true to be on the set, spinning the wheel, calling out letters...I told another contestant before any of the tapings began, they could give me $10,000 to bow out to one of the alternates and I'd have done it on the spot. At that point of spinning the wheel, my dream was completed.
In fact, one of the contestant coordinators had to tell me to make sure that I smiled. I realized I wasn't because I was too busy being awestruck by the whole experience.
Now I'm excited and nervous to watch all of us!

LOL - I was dreading the recap, but luckily everyone was nice to me. I'm sure a few people bashed me behind closed doors...but that's okay.

This is one reason I like the interaction on this board, nobody seems to be bashing anyone. This seems to be more about the experience everyone has, that have played the game, and what its like to actually have been a contestant. There are very knowledgeable posters and it is fun to interact. My son was on the 1st week this season and I have continued to follow the posts on here. I'm looking forward to seeing Adam's and Euclid's episodes and the others who are members. Good luck to all.....

Thank you for the kind words, Mr. Carter. We hope you and your son continue to keep visiting and posting here. The official website has just added another week: American Heritage (December 10-14). This and Military Families will 99% surely be the tapings for this Wednesday and Thursday...Hopefully this is just a renaming of "Wheel Across America" and not yet another week with USA themed puzzles.

For anybody here who taped September 20 or later, did they do "Ask Pat & Vanna" at all, was it done live in the studio or was it a post-production clip (like the teaser currently airing), and do you remember what any of the questions involved? Thanks!

Today's tapings are confirmed to be for Military Families, but the show's FB and the official website don't say anything about it being 11/9 as well. I'm changing AG1 back to 5 days for now...

I found out back in May that I was going to be a contestant on Wheel, and just now saw this site. I am in college still so I am assuming that I will be on college week. Hopefully it is taped in NY since there are a few people saying that is where they are taping out of town. Any info on when college week will be recorded?

Welcome, Jrose. May I ask where you auditioned? I tried out in May as well, but wasn't accepted. New York is the confirmed "out of town" taping location for this year, but College Week isn't confirmed for it just yet, though it is very likely, seeing that the week has yet to be done in NY, and most College Weeks are done on location nowadays.

So last night they showed a promo during the first commercial break about the Secret Santa Sweepstakes. I was the first AA lady on the promo. I cant find it anywhere online. Do you know where I might find it?

Vanna has been shooting various promos in Disneyland for the past several days. Here's one of her cue cards.Could this be for some kind of "Disney Family Week"?

If that's the case MarioGS, I'm thinking this could be their first time in Disneyland. The last time I know of when they went to Disney World in Orlando was Season 12, but with the Changing Keys themes used from 1989-1994, I think the show's visits in 1989/1990, 1992, and early 1994 were indeed filled with magic.

I don't think they'll be taping in Disneyland; just a Disney-themed/sponsored week in Culver City, similar to the Wendy's promotion back in S28.

Hmm, pretty possible, why else would there be a promo for that?
