Aaaand now they return to the insipid two-row logo. Just keep the logo of last season, but put the "30th Anniversary" script underneath and use this background.
Or one better: keep everything the same, but remove the two-row logo and tilt the image to show the classic logo in the center of the Wheel.
I also find it amusing that they're willing to spend tons of money on everything that isn't actually relevant to gameplay.
(And while you're at it, rerecord the chant; you've been using it since August 1983.)

It's not centered so that the tail of the "y" rests in the gap between the "L" and the "o".
This logo would look amazing on the video wall...except they now refuse to display the logo on either video wall for actual episodes, but are perfectly fine with displaying it for promotional media... -_-

Come on guys... the Wheel'd O separates the words just fine. This seems fairly trivial anyways. I'm glad at least a bit of effort went into this, although it doesn't look like a lot.

I see nothing wrong with the two-row logo, either. I also see nothing wrong with the traditional logo.
And for those who don't know, it made its return with the in Season 14 when they rolled out the new puzzle board (rarely do you get a close-up shot of the monitors, but that is the traditional logo on those monitors).

I like it a lot. I especially like the strings of lights coming down. It looks very sleek. Can't wait for Season 30.

I'm wondering what the opening animations will be, knowing this title card looks similar to the one used for Season 26. Wouldn't be surprised if they brought back the wedges falling in place on the wheel animation.

Weird, I prefer the off-screen version. I guess it's because the brighter purple doesn't look as good with the gold logo, IMO. The wheel in that commercial might look familiar to those who have seen wheelgenius's DeviantArt. They have a J! promo as well with their S29 logo. Looks very nice. |
