Hey all. I just joined the board, and I'm Matt, from this episode of WoF. The whole experience was a blast. I was convinced that Cherie was going to be my biggest competition, but it turns out that wasn't the case! I got a little worried when Joe won the prize puzzle, but thanks to Pat landing on the $5000 wedge, I pulled it out. I knew my puzzle solving abilities were superior(not to sound conceited, but I knew they were), and if the wheel was kind, I would be fine. I messed up the Bonus Round, I was convinced it was Taco Stand. It's hard in those ten seconds to get your mind to think outside of the box when you were convinced it was something else! Nonetheless, $31,800 in about 22 minutes of actual TV time isn't so bad! Pat and Vanna were wonderful....very down to earth and super friendly. Everyone that worked that day was great to all of the contestants. I'm sure it's all been covered before, but I'm more than happy to answer questions about the show, the tapings, the audition process, the crew......thanks again for those that congratulated me in the above posts!

Matt, do you remember anything that was edited out or re-shot from your episode? Anything happen when Joe picked up the Bahamas wedge in R1? We noticed that the Wheel slightly changed position, possibly meaning a re-shoot.

Actually, there were two spots that needed to be re-shot. The first one was when Cherie solved the opening toss up. I don't recall why it needed to be re-done, but when it finally aired, Cherie was the first to guess it right, but in reality, Joe guessed first and was wrong. I made a second guess with "Birdies and Eagles", but obviously that was incorrect, too. Pat dead panned to us during the lull that "at least America won't see you guys get it wrong." There was a second issue that caused us to stop taping, and I don't specifically recall what it was, so it may very well have involved the Bahamas wedge during Round 1. Interesting note: You may know this, but during the stoppage, we realized Pat has a phone right under the wedge ledge that allows him to communicate directly with those in the booth.....never would have known that had I not been on the show!

An entire Toss Up re-shot? Wow, the more stuff we find out gets cut, the more ridiculous they get... -_-
Looking back at the episode's credits, there is a "technical difficulties" disclaimer. Does that jog your memory at all, Matt?

Let me get this straight -- the show retaped a Toss-Up specifically because two people got it wrong, just so the players don't look stupid right out of the gate? Why is Wheel so hell-bent on chopping out the spontaneity and the feeling of "as-live"? I swear, they're giving me more and more reason to actively avoid modern episodes...

Sorry to say that doesn't help with the memory jogging!
