Nah, they usually finish off around October or November. They even had a stop in Texas last December. Were in Jacksonville FL last November, when they picked me!

I'll be at the Cleveland Wheelmobile event on Friday. I'm surprised that they're coming back so soon...they were just here two years ago, and their last stop before that was around 2005. I'll try to post a report...but I doubt that I'll be as detailed as Jess or Mario.

True to my prediction, this report is more of a highlight reel than an in-depth take...mainly because they really haven't changed too much and I am TIRED. -The one big negative, IMO, was that they only had three shows in a four-hour period. I don't know if this is a permanent change or a venue-specific modification. When they came to the Nautica two years ago, I believe that they did a show every hour. -Tracey Wilson continues to be criminally underutilized. She is very fun and animated, and it doesn't come off as fake or forced (and there is a lot of "forced fun" at times during each show). It's a real shame, as she would be a great "true" co-host with Marty (who was excellent, as usual). -Speaking of Marty - he didn't really pull out many of his usual one-liners. He only asked one contestant "How was the cheese?", for example, and I never heard a single mention of any of the real show's missolves. Maybe the show really is getting stale... -Surprisingly, the gameplay was not as terrible as I had expected. The only real stumper was PROFITS ARE UP, which seemed to have a little bit of everything awful rolled into one puzzle. We went through the line almost twice without adding anything, followed by three or four turns unsolved at PR--ITS ARE UP. The second contestant in this game called back-to-back repeats, and the man next to her solved without calling a letter first. Oy. Other than that, it wasn't too bad. -The casino was relatively generous with the freebies. I racked up several bottles of water and coupons for $5 in slot free play. -I managed to snag a seat up towards the front for the first show, and my ugly mug probably made it onto the news a couple of times, as WOIO 19 (our Wheel affiliate) had a reporter interview two women at the end of my row.

Hey, I've been a lurker around here for a month and finally decided to sign up and post.
I was at the Cleveland event yesterday (Sat) for all three shows, and was lucky enough to get called up in the middle of the third show. I was the guy that admitted my wife caught on fire when I proposed to her. I think it went well, although I felt like I should have been slightly louder. Didn't solve, but played by the rules. Hoping for the next round!
Not sure that the audience noticed, but there was a terrible slip up that occurred on stage. The guy in the third spot guessed E at which point the lady in the second spot immediately said the answer outloud before he did! Marty reprimanded her for it (rightly so!) I'm guessing she doesn't get a callback.
Thanks so much for all the help on this forum! It really helped to know how the process would work. Once I was on stage, I was surprisingly calm!

I was also at Cleveland. There were too many people at the first one on Friday, so I couldn't get in. But I did get into the second and third Friday ones. I went to the first Saturday one, and they stopped me at the door because my ID was expired. I told them that this wasn't a problem yesterday, even though they had inspected my ID rather closely (even to the point that I showed them that my address was on the back, since I moved while it was still valid). But they wouldn't budge. Still, I got those two Friday ones, and got to spend Saturday thrifting with my friend Toby, who's a bit of a local celebrity in Cleveland. The venue was well suited to it for the most part, other than the looooooooooong line. We had to start the line outside, and it was raining all day Friday. The stage itself was very well done, and even had monitors so people could see in the back easily. First one I've ever seen that had that. I would also say that this is by FAR the largest audition I've ever been to. It was easy two or three times as many people as the other ones I've been to. Other than that, SuperSweeper and seanl81 pretty much covered all the bases.

I was in Cleveland as well. I forgot about the time change from Chicago so I only made it to the 2nd and 3rd show Friday, but made all three shows on Saturday. seanl81 I remember you! You did a great job, that was an interesting story! I hope you get a call back!
The audience could not hear that woman make the solve out of turn but did hear Marty scold her. I think her son had been up on stage the previous hour. Emil received a shoutout for New Baby Buggy. A woman called on stage said she had sat next to him during their Wheelmobile event. I cheered pretty loud when she mentioned it but I didn't hear too many other people react, maybe I was too loud and didn't hear them. I thought I was going to get killed when a woman on stage said she had ESP and knew who was going to win the World Series at which time I yelled out, "Chicago Cubs." I got a few dirty looks for that one. Gotta know your crowd, LOL.
Compared to Chicago the Rocksino was a great venue. I didn't get called on stage but it's entertaining just to watch other people who get called up.

^Yeah, Chicago was just a horrible venue. That place felt more like a warehouse; it was difficult to get to from the parking garage; and there was so much echo off the walls that you couldn't hear a single thing Marty was saying even from the front row. But this venue was as good as Chicago was bad.
Still stunned at the amount of people. I honestly thought 21+ only inside a casino would lead to smaller crowds, but this was hands down the most people I've ever seen at one of these.

Rats - I wish that I had known some other boardies were there on Friday. I went alone, which was both beneficial and a drag. On one hand, it was nice to just do my own thing, and I got a better seat each show because they had A LOT of open single seats towards the front. On the other hand, I never sat by anyone that was really enthusiastic about being there. The third show, in particular, had a really dead crowd. I'm not sure if it was the mix of the crowd or the later start time (9:00 p.m.).
I forgot to mention the huge screens that flanked the stage - those were really helpful. I couldn't see the used letter board in full from where I was sitting in at least two of the shows, so it was nice to be able to look up and see the board in full.

seanl81 I remember you! You did a great job, that was an interesting story! I hope you get a call back! Thanks so much for your kind feedback! I hope I do too! I've dreamt about being on a game show since I was a little kid Watching Press Your Luck. This is definitely the closest I've been to achieving that goal!

As stated in the OP (which I know needs to be updated), March 2010. It was going to stop in April 2014, but the event was cancelled for unknown reasons.

Maybe I'll stop by an event sometime when it's in the area. Not that I need to, but I missed out on the experience. I auditioned via YouTube and then got invited to the final audition. Now to just keep waiting for the film date...
