I'm going to assume the 2014 tour is now over. The tours usually end around October or November and start back up around March or April. This tour was terribly skewed.  They only visited 8 states over 15 events (14 if you count the Onamia and Hinckley events as one since they were on the same weekend), 6 of which were in California. Only one event was in the Southwest and nothing in the Northeast at all. Early heads-up, I read in an article some time ago that there will be an audition event in the Denver area sometime next spring in honor of Wheel recently moving to a new station in that market. |

You missed one Mario?!? GO TO YOUR ROOM!!  They also sent out an email today saying the Wheelmobile is being sponsored by a Casino Style game app (Double Down) instead of whoever their previous sponsor was. From the wording of the subject, I thought they were sending a notification they were coming to Chicago. |

It's not that I missed it. I post about these things as soon as I hear about them.  I just assumed the bus would be headed back to Sony after one last event in California, but I guess this Texas event will be last for the year. Surely they'll head straight back home after this for the holidays. |

I feel like the Mobile never comes to the east coast any more. This saddens me (although, as I'm based in New York City, I feel like they may not stop there unless they go to our casino like place in Queens).

The Wheelmobile will never be in New York City or anywhere close to it. Marty Lublin (the host) told me personally that the reason they never go close to New York City is because it's Wheel's most popular market; there would be way too much of a turnout for the size they're comfortable with. Not to mention that the events are sponsored and advertised by the station of the market where the event is being held. If WABC were to sponsor an event, they would have to have it as far from NYC as possible while remaining in their boundaries where TV's still receive it, such as halfway between NYC and Albany or all the way out in Montauk or something. So far, the closest towns the Wheelmobile has been to are Wilkes-Barre, PA and Atlantic City, NJ (both are much closer to NYC than Cicero, NY which had an event back in June 2013).
Yes, all this California is getting annoying, although most of the California events during the last tour were part of a promotion from the CA Lottery for a WOF-themed scratch-off game.

Even with NY metro being too crowded, they could still spread it out besides California. There's 49 other states in the Union. lol

Smack dab between ISU and U of I. I wonder if they'll also head north to the Chicago suburbs or to one of the casinos in the area like they did at the Horseshoe a few years ago.

I'm hoping to, unless they decide to come down south a bit closer, to go to the IL event. It's only 4 1/2 hours away from where I live. Man, if I got on Wheel, it'd be a lifelong dream come true!
