It's also ideal for me because it's the closest it's been to me in...well, forever.  I live way up in the middle of nowhere- right up at just about the northernmost point of New York State. The same region which has made national news lately for the two men who broke out of a maximum security prison and are on the run (yes, Dannemora's an hour and a half from my home. No, I didn't do it. ) Considering that Wheelmobile rarely comes to the Northeast anymore, the fact that it's making a stop just three hours from where I live is a big deal to me (the last time it was fairly close was the Cicero event in 2013...which I had to miss because I had an issue at home). |

Hey Charlie, I'm sorry to say that I did and they had the final callback auditions already. Next time!! I know it's disappointing, but now that you have this board you will be more prepared and know what to expect in the future (for final auditions too!) I know many people have made multiple attempts and final auditions to get on the show, including myself.

Thanks for the info. I'm not sure what else I could have done better. I was calm, collected, yet excited. I interviewed as well as anyone else and I also solved the puzzle. Oh well....better luck next time. Good luck to you! I hope you make it on the show.

Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone who auditioned in Denver has heard about the final auditions yet? I was there on the first day... they did say it could take up to 4 months to hear back from them, but was surprised to read about the quick Chicago turn around. Hoping for the best but if not I will keep solving puzzles from home! Nice to join the boards-- thanks!

I just got an e-mail from the Wheel Watchers Club confirming that the final auditions for Denver will be in September.
My question to all of you is, is it worth doing the one minute recorded video, even if I was called up onstage at the Wheelmobile event? I'd like to think I made a good impression there, but then again, I feel like I should take whatever chances I can get to get on the show. Is it overkill to submit a video in addition to the WheelMobile audition? I think I read on these forums that one woman did do both, but I'm curious if a number of you have done the same? Thanks!

If you're invited to the final audition, you should be notified about two weeks in advance. If you don't hear anything by the end of the month, then maybe consider doing a video as well. If I find out anything about the audition date, I'll be sure to let you know. |

I don't see how doing a video could hurt? It's not like they're going to say, "Oh this guy was already called up at the wheelmobile AND did a video?! What a freak." But from what I've gathered if you solve your wheel mobile puzzle and weren't a complete dud in the interview with Marty, you'll get an invite.

What a coincidence. Wheel just posted an announcement of the Denver auditions. They'll be from September 1-3. I guess it couldn't hurt to make a video if you wanted to.

Thanks to Kevin & Mario for the responses; greatly appreciated. I did not solve my puzzle at the Wheelmobile... I called my letters loud and clear but they weren't in the puzzle unfortunately. I think the interview with Marty went pretty well though; I had a number of people reach out to me after the fact in the crowd with good things to say about it... I guess I may try to make a video as well just in case? Fingers crossed! Mario-- if the auditions are Sept. 1-3 then I would find out next Tuesday or so if I make it to the next round based on the Wheelmobile audition or not; is that right? |

I think I did okay with my interview with Marty, despite the nervous feelings I had inside, but I managed to solve my puzzle at the Denver auditions. People came up to congratulate me after I got picked and everyone, including Marty and Tracey, were envious of my Wheel Of Fortune necklace that I wore 3 months ago.

Same here with my Marty interview - EXTREMELY nervous, which made me talk fast. I did get lucky with solving the puzzle and projected well though. Of course, you don't have to solve to get an invite.
For reference, my wheelmobile was June 6th in Forsyth, IL and I got an email for a final audition in Springfield, IL on June 16th. The audition date was June 25th - only 9 days notice! Another boardie and future contestant (levesp08) got her email for a Thursday audition on a Monday - 3 days notice! So yeah, not a lot of warning especially for being in the morning/early afternoon during a week day ha.

Hey, guys! This is my first post, but I've been lurking on this site ever since getting my final audition email last week. I've really been enjoying reading all of this information! Just to collaborate on what was already said, I too received an invite only 3 days before the audition! I submitted a video for the Atlanta auditions on Friday, June 17th, and I received the "Final Audition" invitation on Monday, August 3rd. The audition took place on Thursday, August 6th. I feel like I did really well, and I guess I'll find out if I made it by next Thursday (we'll see whether or not I get the letter in the mail!). Out of the 50+ people in my audition group, I made it to the final 15. I'll keep you posted if I get the letter! |

atlantagirl , your situation sounds just like mine!! Longest 2 weeks ever! Mine came on day 16 so if nothing comes by Thursday, don't panic yet... give a little wiggle room. How'd you do on the timed written? And we have now confirmed that being let go before the break doesn't mean you're out of the running. kevin was one of the lucky ones to be dismissed and make the show! Not saying this to make you feel like you didn't do as well or have less of a chance but it is a different process than in the past. Used to mean, "sorry, Charlie!" Sending so many good luck vibes your way!
