Hey there, everyone! Wheel is often touted as one of the top programs in syndication, and we like to back up claims with numbers. So we're going to be posting the viewership ratings for Wheel as they come in. Syndication ratings are usually available on Tuesday for the viewing week before last. So the ratings being posted now are from the week ending on February 24, and Tuesday will bring ratings for the week ending March 3. Keep in mind that the rankings are for all syndicated programs and not just first-run syndicated shows. The leading show this week was The Big Bang Theory (which is syndication of reruns), so Wheel is the top show when it comes to first-run syndication. The next ratings report will come on Tuesday. |

Viewership was down overall in the last week of February for syndication, but Wheel beat out both Judge Judy and The Big Bang Theory for the top spot over all syndicated programs this ratings week. I imagine ratings for the rerun were way low that week because two of the big three pre-empted it at its normal time nationwide (ABC with their annual Easter broadcast of "The Ten Commandments" and CBS with NCAA).

But, remember, most of the country had several episodes of that week pre-empted due to coverage of the Boston Marathon attack.

That's right. Pretty much the entire country was pre-empted for at least one night that week, if not two or more.
As for the weekend rerun, this is really just getting back to where it was before the NCAA tournament and Easter weekend dragged it down.
