At first, I had a reaction to the Jackpot win firework on the top-left corner of the screen (including the audio), and it still scared me for the next two years.
...and I was able to watch Beverly Hills week in Season 14.

My younger brother doesn't like the Final Spin sound on Wheel too. He hides and covers his ears when the 3rd toss-up starts. XD I love this. It's like he knows that Round 4 almost-always starts with the Final Spin these days. When it doesn't, does he just keep his ears covered until it does happen?

I was like seven years old when I first heard the sound effect on Jeopardy! when time ran out for a round (that series of beeps; seriously, they could've used something less loud and sudden). That thing scared me away from watching the show for a long while. It really wasn't until midway through Ken Jennings' run in the summer of 2004 that I really began watching it again. Does that thing still scare me today? If it does, it's nowhere as much.
Today, it's a disappoinment when there's that ONE last clue in a category that interests me and I don't get to see it (UGH! BTW, does anyone know if those unused clues can be used in later episodes?). There are those times, however, you're waiting for that sound effect to determine whether or not a contestant will have a runaway total.
Speaking of time running out, the sound effect used when time was running out on Wheel (the one used since 1989; I never saw any episodes from before then until 2002 when GSN started airing those Season 6 episodes) didn't scare me, but that same sound effect while playing Graphix Zone version of Wheel on the PC did. Compared to its TV counterpart, it was sudden and way too loud!
BTW, even if you're aren't scared of it, there are those times where you've simply become sick and tired of constantly hearing that dreaded, awful buzzer. As the late, great Brett Somers said, well... just watch. [chuckles nervously]

I'm not a fan of the TPIR sounds either, especially the foghorn sound for going over/time running out. I'd rather hear the strike buzzer from Feud.

The buzzer on MDWOF can do this to me, especially in the speedup. Yeah, it sounds similar to a fire alarm or a high school gym's old scorekeeper buzzer (both of those are usualy B-flat pitched as well), and trust me, those things are LOUD AS HECK! Those things are a pain in the ears to hear, especially when you're anxiously waiting for them to sound. So if you can cover your ears, for goodness' sakes, please do so!

^ I have never heard a fire alarm that sounded like a scorekeeper buzzer. On the other hand, instead of a bell at elementary school, we actually had that buzzer. It took me a while to get used to it.
