...and they don't use long puzzles in R4 onward anymore to decrease the likelihood of someone breaking the bank in $5000. And so that if the round becomes a Speed-Up, it can go faster, and because the split-screen effect cuts off the top row of the board. Though I wish they would occasionally use three-row puzzles in R4 using the bottom row, at least if they know ahead of time that Speed-Up won't occur within the first 7 turns or so.

This round 2 gameplay is one of the reason why Mystery wedge should be retire. Did you think when you hit the post button? How many times does Mystery get more than a quintuple? I will tell you: barely.

Nice end to an OK week. TUs: Good job to everyone splitting. R1: Sherri left off the L's, but it's understandable since since has that MDW. R2: Wow, ELEVEN M's? That's a record for a single letter! Nicely done by Joy capitalizing on that MW with those M's and declining - and smart, not just b/c that was a Bankrupt but also b/c nearly $12,000 was at stake. R3-R4: Who even says that R3 phrase? But wow, Sherri did great here! Tough luck for Jesse. BR: Oh boy...we were all on edge after Sherri's wild guesses, but too bad it was still a big number. My rating: Low 7 out of 10 This week's rating: 7.5 out of 10 This week (exc. for Monday) was just as good as the 2012 edition.
