Here is a thread about Match Game Canada. Whether you have watched it on comedy or just heard about it, now that's in the second season I'd like to make a thread highlighting some of the changes that were made to the set and to the game itself.
First of all, there is more money in the budget. Season 1 featured a possible top prize of $4000 dollars if you got the best answer in the Super Match and hit double on the star wheel. Now the top prize is $5000 dollars if you get the best answer in the Super Match and hit double on the star wheel.
Also each match in the maingame is worth 100 points in the maingame instead of 50 points and likewise in the Match Up round. Since points get converted to dollars for the winner at the end of the maingame, this is significant. Where you would mostly see $300-500 dollars won in the maingame in Season 1 now it is more common to see $700-1200 dollars won in the maingame with a maximum of up to around $2000 possible in the maingame in a perfect game situation.
The set has changed and has become darker from Season 1.

To this in Season 2:

The Star Wheel also changed as well:
Season 1:
There are no pictures of the season 2 star wheel, but it is a wheel that is broken down into six sections like the Season 1 wheel only the names are on the outside, and each of those six sections are broken down into six sections, the wheel is neon lit with 2 of the 6 sections of each larger section is lit red for "double" while the rest are lit blue. The spinner for the wheel is a giant arrow that is attached at the middle of the wheel like an arrow of a clock.
I've enjoyed the changes so far, and the comedians and the host Darrin Rose seem to be in a comfortable place now. What do you guys think of the show?
