(FILL IN THE) BLANK
And it's the old Fill in The Blank. After the puzzle, the contestant must identify what word is represented by that question mark. As a point of trivia, the one question mark variant of this category would disappear by November and become Next Line Please (in basic terms).
Numbers were drawn backstage, and Diane was the victor of that draw. Pat asks her to spin, and away we go.
SPIN 1- The first spin lands on the red $400. Diane calls an N. No N. Lesley's turn.
SPIN 2- Lesley lands on the red $300. She calls an S. One S will appear. $300 dollars.
SPIN 3- Lesley spins again to land on the light purple $400. She calls an L, but it's a dud. Over to Rich.
SPIN 4- Rich's first spin lands on the yellow $500. He calls a T, and a pair of T's will give him a $1000 dollar start.
SPIN 5- This time it's the yellow $750 before Bankrupt. He wants an R, and that's another pair of letters. Rich now has $2500 dollars.
SPIN 6- It's gonna be the red $400. He pauses for a couple seconds, then calls an H. And luckily there is one. That's $2900 dollars. He'll use $250 to buy an A. Only one, and probably where he expected it. $2650 left. Now he wants an E. There's two of them. That might help a little. Down to $2400. And he's not done yet. He buys an I. There's one. Now he has $2150. Only a couple unfilled spaces in this puzzle, but unsure if he knows it or not.
SPIN 7- He lands on the blue $500. He calls a K. That's not the consonant that's left. Diane's turn.
SPIN 8- Diane lands on the red $200. She wants a V. That's also not one of the letters left to uncover. It's now time for Lesley to spin.
SPIN 9- Lesley spins the wheel and lands on the pink $250. She asks to buy a vowel, but Pat tells her she can't once she's spun. She pauses then calls a D. This seems to be stumping everyone. No D. Surprisingly, it's back to Rich.
Rich buys an O. There's an O. He has $1900. That leaves just one unfilled space.
SPIN 10- Rich spins it one last time and just passes the Lose a Turn to land on the red $450. He calls a W. And that's it. $2350 dollars and all of the spaces are filled.

HIGH ROLLER CHIMES
Rich can add $500 to that total if he can identify what fits in that question mark. He can't do it, so the question goes to Diane. Diane answers Tubman, which is wrong, so finally the question goes to Lesley. And Lesley answers Madeline (may not be that spelling of it), which is equally as wrong. So, everyone got stumped and nobody gets the $500 dollars. The answer was Beecher. Pat tells us she is the author of Uncle Tom's Cabin and various other works.
Duds: N (Diane), L (Lesley), K (Rich), V (Diane), D (Lesley)
Diane - $0
Lesley - $0
Rich - $2350
ROUND TWO
A $2500 dollar space is added to the wheel for round two, and a fantastic prize as well. Charlie gives us all the details.
Charlie: “Rediscover the history of colonial Williamsburg. Stay at Kingsmill Resort, located on the James river. You may enjoy golf on their championship courses, a visit to nearby Bush Gardens, or to historic colonial Williamsburg. From Kingsmill. $3,650 dollars!”
Pat says “Welcome back to Jeopardy.” And the prize on the wheel is marked VIRGINIA.

SPIN 3- That big $2500 dollar space is just passed and it lands on $200 dollars. An L this time. There is a single L in the puzzle. $850 dollars.
SPIN 4- This time the arrow will land stop before the $2500 and land on the yellow $500. Lesley calls a P. Predictably there is one. $1350.
SPIN 5- It's the red $200 this time. She calls a K. She must have had something in mind, but there aren't any. It's over to Rich.
SPIN 6- Rich will also land on that red $200. An R is what he calls, and of course, there's one R.
SPIN 7- It's the $500 next to $2500 this time. Rich is looking for a Y. Nope. No Y's. Diane spins.
SPIN 8- Diane will just pass that $2500 and land on $200. Looking for a C, and there's one. That's $200 for Diane.
SPIN 9- The wheel will land on $200 again. She calls an H, and one H will double her total to $400 dollars.
SPIN 10- And it's going to land on $200 a third time in a row. She seems to know something, and calls an M. There's one. $600 dollars. She buys a vowel. A U. And continuing the trend, there's a U. $350 remains.
SPIN 11- $200 dollars again. Diane calls a Z, and in this category I am not surprised that there is one. Diane has a total of $550 dollars.
