So Mario Kart 8 came out this weekend for Wii U, and it's full of amazing new features, like uploading race highlights straight to YouTube. Here's one of mine. I was Luigi in this race:

I must say I am amazed when you combine the new graphics with the race highlights. And I do like the new Rainbow Road from the other video.

I just need to say THANK YOU to Nintendo for finally making an item that counters Blue Shell attacks. Just won this online race thanks to the new Super Horn.  It cuts off in the highlight reel, but I used it at around 0:35, which was near the end of the final lap. |

Finally plunged in and my brother and I went halfsies and purchased the MK8 WiiU bundle yesterday. We've been busy with his graduation party prep and the party itself, but man, from what little we've played, this looks beautiful. While Nintendo might not have fully saved themselves from the disappointing blow sales of the WiiU are delivering, hot damn if they aren't cushioning that blow with the softest, satin, fluffy pillows in releases like this.

I just got the game after I preorder it from Gamestop few months ago and it came with the poster.  I having so much fun with this game. Check out my race. Fixed maligned Youtube embed. Use the "video" tags provided by the forum software to embed your videos and not the Youtube embed HTML code. |

If enough people on here have it and are interested, I might create some kind of custom tournament. We'll see what happens. Meanwhile, don't you love when you're neck and neck in an online race with someone playing as the same character as you? I'm the one in the round bug-shaped kart. It got really close at the end. The best part is the other Daisy knew she was doomed because I got a red shell out of the last row of item boxes and she only got a coin. |

Just got the game today and, boy, is it fun. In particular, I really like the new items and the fact that you have a highlight reel you can change quite a bit on. Here's a video of a raceme and my brother had; nothing too memorable but it's a good starting point in our Mario Kart 8 career.

DJ, I also preordered the game, and I don't think it came with a poster. Did you preorder the red Wii U system that came with the game?
To everyone, I've unlocked all the characters and the MiiVerse stamps for them. I just need 21 more stamps by beating Staff Ghosts in Time Trials. After getting those out of the way will I go for three stars in 100 and 150cc. |
