One question. What would happen if someone hit a Mystery Wedge and chose to flip it over when they called the same letter, or if they called the same letter on the middle of the MDW? The MDW does not award money per letter.

^ The MDW would presumably award a flat $1,000. I hadn't thought about the Mystery Wedge.

First off, that maingame was pretty good. Everyone ending up in 5-figures was great (despite Sarah's WC mistake), and we got to see the Same Letter bonus in action for the first time!
I also liked Hector's story, very inspirational.
And then...the big one. Yeah, it was obvious, but still great to see Sarah win the million! Too bad she didn't win more in the maingame to unseat Autumn or Michelle.
Major congrats ma'am!
My rating: A 10, of course!

Pretty much echoing what everyone said it was a great episode even outside of the $1M being won. Sarah definitely deserved it though. She played very smart and you could tell she was a good puzzle solver. Yeah she tripped up on the PP but hey things like that happens. Definitely got goosebumps watching here win. The only thing... Jim couldn't have sounded less enthused about it happening... blah. Because of that 9.99/10

...somethin' happen tonight that I should know about? I'm not surprised you weren't aware, Wheel was really quiet & subtle about it. :locked: ( )

Me... Can someone knock the next time somebody takes the MDW to the Bonus Round so I can actually genuinely anticipate a possible million dollar win next time? Thanks. That being said, major congrats to Sarah. Was not expecting another win so soon. Until that tweet from Newfoundland, I was only expecting this to be a $100K win because overall, there wasn't as much spoiling as last time (although it's important for me to note that I didn't watch the weekly promo. THAT was way too blunt). I just don't think it's fair that us passionate fans always have to fall victim to these spoilers (the blurred out Twitter picture, specifically, plus a much-earlier tweet from Chad Mosher as well as Pat). Like many, I thought the person in the blurred picture was a man. It wasn't until various people around the internet said the potential winner was a Sarah (thanks to the blog) that I knew it would be otherwise (and there were only five men for this whole taping day, hence the all-female game on Monday). Nobody's going to mention the unfortunate state of the R2 puzzle (specifically the second row) before it was solved? OK, then. We are now 3-for-3 on contestants hitting Bankrupt to begin a round. Really annoying...PP adjectives also getting annoying fast. WHY CAN'T YOU JUST SAY "WILDLIFE PRESERVES"?! -_- The audience reaction for the MDW hit really wasn't much better than when Michelle hit it. That's sad. Wheel is like the only game show where a million dollars doesn't get a crowd up on their feet. Still, a million dollar win is a million dollar win. So happy for Sarah.

Nobody's going to mention the unfortunate state of the R2 puzzle (specifically the second row) before it was solved? OK, then. I noticed that as I was looking through the recap. I couldn't stop laughing at that. I wasn't able to watch the episode live (I was in class when it aired, sadly), but I did get to see the Bonus Round on YT. That was so amazing to watch! And only 3 days into the new season, too! I do have to say, though, that puzzle seemed rather easy, especially with a million dollars on the line. But the important thing is, she solved it, and she is now a millionaire! Congratulations, Sarah! I also liked her little assessment at the end about winning the million dollars.

Well for us near puzzle-solving gods on the site it was pretty damn easy. To the casual at home viewer, I could sense where it would be trouble.

Local news story on Sarah's win featuring clips from her viewing party: Why can't studio audiences react to MDW hits they way these people do?

Could we start S32 better? Congratulations, Sarah! Sincerely, I was expecting this show to be a $1M win, because of spoilers everywhere, but during the show I was losing my hopes because of nobody landing in the MDW... I had to wait to the last spin to see my hopes realized. And well... The BR puzzle was not very difficult. But hey, like someone said before, a million dollar win is a million dollar win. I don't want to detract her. So, we have seen this week the new minimum and the very maximum prizes on the Bonus Wheel

Since Sony spoiled it for pretty much everyone through their dumb promo pic and that Twitter leakage, I didn't feel that excited over her win. Full congrats to Sarah, regardless.

Guys, I noticed something interesting about last night. They gave away more money in one episode than they did in only one episode with $1,042,590.
In second place is October 14, 2008, with $1,034,930. That record held for almost six years.
In third is May 30, 2013 with $1,032,340. That, however, does not include the $1000 consolation prize.
Oh, and how about this? Yesterday was two years to the day that $650 came back from the dead.

Whoa, I never knew how close Sarah works from my place! That said, I'm glad I'm not a big Twitter follower and avoid potential spoiler messages, and since I wasn't spoiled and saw this out of the blue, I felt exstatic about her win! Quite a fitting puzzle solution in which I also knew it from RSTLNE. Considering I calculated the odds of a MDW winner occuring approximately one every four years on Facebook, we're now back well above average, and you can't deny an episode, despite a few flaws, from awarding the most on a single episode! Now, as long as there is one BR winner in Hawaii, I'll be happy!

I was still excited and I was spoiled. It didn't matter to me, I just love seeing the moment, and she played pretty well. Plus she dominated TU3 and the BR
