I get the $32 theme. I meant I hope they haven't replaced a lot of the higher values (40, 45, etc.) with 32's to make up for the budgetary impact of the $1M hit a few weeks ago. They may have did it because of the increase to $32,000, but the $1M win would have come too quickly for action like that (and the first $1M win in 2008 was also early in a season). They'd probably sneak in a new gimmick for Season 33 or for 2015. Or maybe they'd gradually shorten average puzzle length so that episodes with 19-letter maximums become the norm.

They may have did it because of the increase to $32,000, but the $1M win would have come too quickly for action like that When I was on the show ten years ago, the distribution of the BR envelopes was specified in the rule book, which the contestants saw before they taped. Now, it's apparently "producer's discretion," so if they wanted to change the wheel to 23 $32K spaces and one $100K/$1M the day after a million-dollar win, they could do it immediately. If they hadn't wanted to increase $30 to $32, they didn't have to do that in the first place.

^ Do you have any recollections of what the distribution was at the time of your appearance? That would be very neat to know!

R1 had a null cut at the very start I've seen this happen before. Can someone explain why though? I know if Pat thinks you're aiming for something he'll make you respin but it didn't look that way to me here.

If it goes around the horn once with no change in score or letters revealed, then they usually snip it out.

Thanks. That makes sense because the first spin looked like it was heading towards the MDW which means she probably hit the bankrupt.

^ Do you have any recollections of what the distribution was at the time of your appearance? That would be very neat to know! IIRC, there were 12 $25K spaces, three for each of the two cars (an Audi and a Land Rover that week), and one each of $30, $35, $40, $45, $50 and $100K. I won the $35. This was 2004, when $25 was still the minimum and the MDW hadn't been introduced yet.
