Sneak peek at NY's new WOF ticket:  Like the Canadian game, they categorize geographical locations as Place instead of On the Map. Props to them for using the Chesty font, the true ancestor of the WOF logo font. :legend: |

Here is the first ticket I played. I won $10 from filling in two words with the given letters.  And here is a losing ticket that I already entered online. You're given a puzzle with all the vowels missing (mine is SURPRISE PARTY) and you must spin a Wheel with all the remaining vowels to reveal one more. Every redeemed ticket gets you one spin, and filling in the puzzle gets you multiple bonus sweepstakes entries.  |

There are two "games". In the first game, you scratch off the wheel icons under "WINNING NUMBERS", then you scratch the wedge icons under "YOUR NUMBERS". If any of "YOUR NUMBERS" match a winning number, you win the prize underneath it.
In the second game, you scratch off the wheel icons under "YOUR LETTERS" which reveal 12 letters. In the three word "puzzles" below, you scratch any letters that you have been given under "YOUR LETTERS". If you complete any of the three words, you win the prize next to it.

Man, their online "Second Chance" game is tough... Entering a losing ticket only gets you one opportunity to add a vowel, and the wheel of vowels always has all five of AEIOU. If you land on a vowel that's not in the puzzle or was already revealed, your opportunity is essentially wasted but the vowel gets "banked" for use in a future puzzle. I've played three times so far and I'm still stuck on "S_RPR_S_ PARTY". I got an A the first time, then landed on the A again the second time, then O on the third try. Hope it doesn't take too many tries to fill the last vowel when it's down to one more.

Once you solve the puzzle, you're taken to a multiplier wheel which will multiply the entries you have by x2, x5,x10, or x50. I was lucky enough to get x50 on my first shot!

As a former new york state resident, two comments: 1) It's "Hey, you never know!" You can't leave out the "Hey". It's just not right. 2) I feel like if they can't work Yolanda Vega yelling letters into the online second chance drawing, they aren't trying hard enough. |
