^I think I may rotate the neon green, neon orange, & current blue one I'm using. These are my favorite ones. I'm not too fond of the yellow and pink ones.

I used the pink a long time ago and it looks really good between that blue and purple

^LoL---my wheel is also 24" but the base is 36". I'd love to go bigger but I think what I have serves the purpose.

You definitely do! Your wheel looks awesome! I meant to say 36" on the change in size because that's the next available size of table top at Lowe's

I'm wanting to redo my flappers using a rubber material like the show uses.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could use for this. It needs to be something made of rubber, yet still thin enough to cut out the shapes.

thiswheel13, loved your video! Like TLC and yourself, my current wheel is 24", but sits on a small square table from Ikea. For the 36" wheel, it actually is really cool and gives the closest feel to being on the show because your arm power (or lack thereof) determines the strength of the spins, so things aren't as random as they are on smaller sized wheels. You could go two ways with the big wheel guys--I've tried both methods and prefer the 2nd: 1st way: Buy one of those swivel pieces with the ball bearings, drill that into the center of your wheel and use a 24" wood piece as your base. I'd lubricate the hell out of the ball bearings because the products from Lowe's and HD have the ball bearings not as free moving. There is a youtube video that shows how to drill a large hole in the base to correctly align the screws to your larger piece (the wheel). 2nd way: Buy an 18 or 24" lazy susan (Bed Bath & Beyond, or some other home store) that's already assembled. Measure the center point of your wheel, align it with the lazy susan base, and then screw them together. I like this approach better because if the wheel doesn't spin as freely, you could simply loosen the screw from the lazy susan to your liking. My problem with the first method is that if your wheel gets stuck, or has jerky spins, it isn't as easy to take apart, apply more WD-40, etc. Stick rubber stoppers on the bottom of your bases (from either method) to prevent slipping. I had the flippers separated, so I could take the wheel "on the road" and set up shop wherever needed. If you look back a few pages on the Designer's Den threads, you'll see my old 36" wheel during its glory days. The project for a new one is currently on hold due to lack of funds--the lazy susan goes for $20, and the 36" base from Lowe's/HD goes for $40. Then you count nails, paint, printing more wedges, glitter paper for wedges, cardstock, foam board....Like TLC said in a previous post on here, it's gonna be past $100 to finish it up. Hope my long speech helped! -A

^I've wanted to make a 36" wheel for a long time but I've already put SO much time, effort, and MONEY into making the one I have. Maybe in 10 (LOL) years I may upgrade it bigger but for now I'm happy with my 24".
I can imagine that the 36" wheel feels more "real". My current wheel's base is 36" and it's huge. The nails for the spikes would probably need to be 3". I'd love to be able to spin the 36" wheel to see what it's like....or the actual WOF wheel on the show; that'd be even better!

I know MarioGS won the sweepstakes for the retired $350 wedge--there was a Facebook video of a user submission who didn't win, and the guy was a music teacher who created a life-size wheel and his pitch was that his wheel was the perfect home for the $350 wedge to retire. From what Mario has told me, the real wheel is 7 1/2 feet across (90"), and an individual wedge is 12" wide at the widest points and 28" long. The largest board rounded pre-cut is 36", and the largest boards I find at HD & Lowe's are 8' by 4', so it seems like it'd be a custom job to buy the board and get it cut right. Maybe I'll take my 36" wheel on the road for real @tlc and you can spin it! -A

Anyone know where I can download or get a program for making puzzles on a computer so I can display them on a tv screen?

You know, that's a good question. I've been thinking about doing that with my set on Photoshop.

I know thiswheel13 has some program he uses in the above video. That looks great, I'd just change the letter font.

Anyone know where I can download or get a program for making puzzles on a computer so I can display them on a tv screen? ...why would you want to do that when you spent all that time making your own puzzleboard?

^Can't I have both? Mainly, the puzzle board is big and I'm not able to take it places to play. If I had a program, that'd be so much easier for "away games".

I have changed the font since then and I built that on Powerpoint. It's my own set up that's not really editable. Definitely a tedious process on how it comes together.

I have a puzzle program that was made by WOFFan2008. It has the music cues, used letter board, scoring, etc. The only thing is that it doesn't go full screen, but it sits in the middle of your screen. I've used it on all of my games for the last three years. I only go whiteboard when I leave my computer at home.
I can get screenshots of it in the next few days.
