I'm back at work on my puzzle board. So far I've got my trilons completed. I used spice bottles (got at Dollar General for $1 each) and drilled holes in the top & bottom for the metal pole (got pole at Lowe's for $2.90 each) to slide down. I used hot glue to attach the bottles to the inside of the trilons. They turn great. Soon I'll be working on the puzzle board frame.

Terrific! Considering I want to make one myself, I might want to try this method.

A quick pic just to give everyone an idea of how I'm doing this... This is not final, just a progress pic...

I'm trying to locate prize wedges for SHOPPING SPREE, FLORIDA, LAS VEGAS, CANADA, IRELAND, SPAIN, & LONDON.
Does anyone know where I can find some wedges for these prizes? They don't have to be exactly like those used on the show but the closer the better.

^ Yes, he does but unfortunately he doesn't have any prize wedges for the places I listed above.

^ It was Gotham until S32, now I think that it's still Gotham, but a light version of it.

It's always been Gotham. Characters was generally in Arial until they finally fixed it this season.

Thanks for the font! I plan to make category strips using MarioGS ' category strip that was posted ages ago somewhere on the boards...I'll have to go find it now and hope it hasn't been deleted.

Here it is. I actually did not make this. It was posted on a casino's website and it very well could be the show's official graphic.

Boy howdy, making a puzzle board is tough and takes forever BUT I'm getting there little by little. Hopefully, I'll be able to post a new 'update pic' next week....hopefully.
It may be tough but it's SO worth it. This is going to be awesome once I'm finished.

Ladies and germs.... Introducing my new puzzle board... The dimensions are 59 1/2 x 26 1/2. (It still needs touch-ups done including painting the side boards blue and adjusting the trilons so they all align. I also need to print out more "WOF" green tiles for the trilons that are black.) I also want to add LED lights to the outside...but that's a final (final) touch.

I got the side boards painted. Now, all I need to do is print out more of the green "WOF" tiles and adjust the trilons so they're spaced more properly. Notice Sheldon sitting on the board!

Hmm. Feels like we'd need some black (or another solid color) behind the puzzleboard to fill in the gaps.
I always used to think there were gold frames to fill in the space around every individual trilon, before I realized it was just a golden backdrop. I later realized that if there were actual frames, the trilons would be very difficult to turn, but I admit it's a pretty good effect if it was that convincing on a TV screen.

I thought about doing a black backing but then I wouldn't be able to stand behind the board and turn letters for toss-up puzzles.

How did you get the vertical spacing of the trilons?

^Washers were glued underneath each trilon to keep them from sliding up and down. I need to readjust some of them because their spacing is somewhat off.

My printer is broken now so I'm not able to print out more of the green "WOF" tiles but this puzzle almost covers the entire board. I still need to adjust the spacing....
