WHAT A WHIRLWIND!!!! I just got back from sunny LA yesterday. It was pretty much the best experience of my life. Since everyone here knows that I can't say anything about how I did (I wish all my friends and family understood this!!) I will tell you what I can. Lucky me - I drew the last show of the day... #6. It was a LONG day... watching show after show... anxiety, nerves, fatigue... everything built up in the 10+ hours I was there. Episode 6 also means my air date is April 14 for America's Game (instead of March 7 - 11 for R&R week.) 2 months to keep a secret... lol. I am in the middle... contestant yellow! And as every contestant has ever said... SO different playing on the couch vs. in the studio. Talk about pressure! But SO much fun... truly a once in a lifetime experience. My words of wisdom to upcoming players... take in every minute (because you will never get those minutes back!) I find myself sad that the experience is "over" since there was A LOT leading up to that very "quick" moment on stage. I also might be a little sad because I live in IL - and going from 80 degrees on Venice Beach to snow on the ground is just not fair. Good luck to all future contestants!!

Hey everyone! I just stumbled across this site and it is very informative. I tried out at a Wheelmobile event in Atlantic City in September, then made it to a follow up tryout in Philadelphia, and luckily got my acceptance letter in November! The tryout was largely tied to the Philadelphia Week that should air in May, but I don't yet know for sure if I'll be part of the Philadelphia Week taping or some other week's taping. I did some digging around the Internet and it looks like the Philadelphia week taping should be around the end of March, but I guess I'll know more whenever I get the fateful call from Culver City. Any chance anyone else on this board was part of the Philadelphia tryouts and is in the same (excellent, amazing, incredible) situation?

I was also at the Philadelphia Audition but my story is a tad different. I didn't get called up on stage at the Wheelmobile event but still got the email to come to the final auditions. I can only assume I was one of the lucky ones that was drawn in LA to fill the empty seats. The letter was a nail-biter. I should've gotten it on the 15th day after the audition but I wound up getting it on the 17th. The 15th day was the only day in my life that mail didn't get delivered on a Saturday. Better late than never. I too am waiting for that call from Culver City. I'm expecting to get it around mid March since the tape date for Philadelphia Week is the end of March. Only time will tell.
