New round, new thread. Let's get to work! Match #1Let's go back to Texas to kick off Round 2. It'll be the 4-5 match. A reminder of the #4 seed: The Meow Mix Think Like a Cat Game Show (GSN, 2008, Chuck Woolery) This show was a huge loser against The Weakest Link (Gray) earlier, 87-12. The #5 seed: Wheel 2000 (CBS/GSN, 1997-98, David Sidoni) This show lost the Round 1 duel against Duel, 98-45. Match #2We'll go to Idaho and put this #2 seed back on the floor: Shop 'Til You Drop (PAX, 2003-05, J.D. Roberto) The megastore couldn't make a sale against Shuffle: The Interactive Game and lost, 63-14. Its new opponent will be the Wagner Bracket's #10 seed: Love Connection (Syn, 1998-99, Pat Bullard) The voters decided to show love for Deal or No Deal (NBC) instead by a score of 97-24. Match #3It's an all-GSN fight in Virginia to kick off Round 2 in the Burleson Bracket. We start with the #8 seed: Love Triangle (GSN, 2011, Wendy Williams) Wendy didn't do well against Million Dollar Password. She went down big, 66-11. And it's going against the giant slayer: Lie Detectors (GSN, 2015, Rove McManus) After winning its play-in game against Where in Time Is Carmen Sandiego?, Lie Detectors went in and took down the #1 seed, Lingo (Engvall), by a close score of 35-31. Match #4Let's watch the other surviving #2 seed duke it out this weekend. The Million Second Quiz (NBC, 2013, Ryan Seacrest) The voters didn't need a million seconds to decide that Big Deal was the better show, although it was not a blowout. TMSQ lost by only 6 points, 36-30. And it faces the #10 seed: National Bingo Night (ABC, 2007, Ed Sanders) It's Worth What? had the winning numbers in the first round. The result was 59-29. Votes are due by Monday August 3 at 8 PM Eastern

That's it for the first batch of Round 2 matches. Let's see the results.
In the Rosen Bracket, Wheel 2000 spun up a 51-15 win over The Meow Mix Think Like a Cat Game Show. Meow Mix earns the first spot in the S**t Sixteen.
In the Wagner Bracket, Shop 'Til You Drop (Roberto) checked out with a 42-13 victory over Love Connection (Bullard). That grinning fool Pat Bullard takes down the third #2 seed and gets his first entry into the S**t Sixteen. Find out later if he goes 2-for-2.
In the Burleson Bracket, Lie Detectors dropped the ruse and emerged with the 19-3 win over Love Triangle. We'll have a little more Wendy Williams to kick around in this turdament.
Finally, in the Goddard Bracket, The Million Second Quiz saw its time in the turdament run out. Ryan Peefest beat National Bingo Night, 34-10. The giant bingo hopper guaranteed that there will be no #2 seeds in this year's S**t Sixteen.
Stay tuned for the next four matches.

The next games are ready for action! On your marks, let's start... the TURDY FEUD! Match #5This Rosen match will guarantee that another double-digit seed will move on. Here's the #11 seed: The Neighbors (ABC, 1975-76, Regis Philbin) Apparently, the voters didn't really mind GSN's Mind of a Man, as they gave that show the pass with a score of 34-10. And that plays the #14 seed: Thousand Dollar Bee (Black Family Channel, 2004-07, Sinatra Onieyewacki) Can you spell "upset"? #3 seed Match Game '98 did just that to this terrible kids game show, 71-17. Match #6Let's get a #1 seed back in that battlefield. Temptation: The New Sale of the Century (Syn, 2007-08, Rossi Morreale) To nobody's surprise, the bad $ale of the Century revival lost to the bad Joker's Wild revival, 79-20. That show plays the #8 seed: JEP! (GSN, 1997-98, Bob Bergen) The answer is: "This kids game show lost a turd-off against Harvey Feud, 69-41." There is no question here. Match #7Let's review the #3 seed: How Much Is Enough? (GSN, 2008, Corbin Bernsen) This turdament hasn't had enough of this turd yet. It narrowly lost to Don't Forget the Lyrics! (McGrath), 48-40. We go from "just greedy enough" to "Kock Brothers greedy" for the #6 seed: Take It All (NBC, 2012, Howie Mandel) The Diamond Head Game sent this primetime stinker into the volcano by a score of 58-19. Match #8We close with the #4 seed: Set for Life (ABC, 2007, Jimmy Kimmel) In the Round 1 dumb-off, Hole in the Wall was said to be "less dumb" than Set for Life. That score was 49-28. And it has to go against this controversial #12 seed: Without Prejudice? (GSN, 2007, Dr. Robi Ludwig) The voters proved that this show was way more offensive than onetime "worst game show ever" titleholder Tic Tac Dough '90. And the vote wasn't even close: 45-10. Votes are due by Thursday August 6 at 8:45 PM Eastern.

...Wow, I haven't seen four easier choices.
* Thousand-Dollar Bee might have sucked, but it was harmless aside from the big thing about perpetuating negative stereotypes about African-Americans. The Neighbors, on the other hand, destroyed friendships, and I wouldn't be surprised if that's why Fred Silverman kicked it off ABC's schedule. 6-5 in favor of Thousand-Dollar Bee., since both shows were damaging. * Again, Jep! was ultimately harmless and led to Kids Weeks on the adult version; can't fault Bob Bergen, either. The American "New Sale of the Century" left the Sale franchise in tatters and clearly didn't reflect well on the Aussie Temptation since that show only got one more (very short) season after this mess. 9-2 in favor of GSN, the "2" being for a middling format and the instrumental theme. * How Much Is Enough? might have been boring as all crap, but it was again harmless in the end and Corbin Bernsen carried that thing like a pro (although there's only so much you can do with a thin format like that). Take It All showed exactly why the Prisoner's Dilemma should be barred from the genre...and why it probably won't be. 9-2 in favor of GSN, the "2" being Howie Mandel and presence of an on-set announcer. * Set For Life might have stretched a Barry & Enright-style endgame to absurd lengths, but in the end it was (say it with me) harmless. Without Prejudice? answered its own question with "Yeah, no, we're definitely prejudiced." 9-2 in favor of ABC, the "2" for GSN being the host and set.

Match 1: Never seen the neighbors before but I have seen TDB so 4-2 favor of thousand dollar bee Match 2: 10-0 favor of jep I know I am gonna get a lot of hate but I love jep and temptation was..just awful Match 3: 10-1 favor of Take it all again call me "not a true game show fan" but I actually love prisoners dilemma except friend of foe Match 4: 10-0 Never seen set for life but without prejudice I have one comment fro that: Obvious Judge Judy Ripoff is Obvious

^ The scores of both shows in a match are supposed to add up to 11, no exceptions. Further, you need to have seen both shows in a match if you want to rate the ones in that particular match.
...Wow, I haven't seen four easier choices. 6-5 in favor of Thousand-Dollar BeeThat was an easy match, wasn't it?

...Wow, I haven't seen four easier choices. 6-5 in favor of Thousand-Dollar BeeThat was an easy match, wasn't it? To clarify, neither show was good. The only reason it was so close is because The Neighbors was competently produced while Thousand-Dollar Bee wasn't, but I thought the latter was at least corny enough that you can watch without cringing whereas the former had just-below- 3's A Crowd levels of awkward. Plus, Geoff Edwards turned down an opportunity at Family Feud partly because he thought it'd be something like The Neighbors. (The other reason was that he had a deal pending with Bob Stewart for what eventually became Shoot For The Stars.)

OK, I was busy playing Bulls**t Bingo last night. But I'm ready to reveal the results now.
In a battle between sleazy and cheesy, cheesy usually wins. Not this time, though. In the Rosen Bracket, The Neighbors moved out with a 43-34 win over Thousand Dollar Bee. Bowtie Boy and the "No Rain" reject head to the regional semifinals.
In the Wagner Bracket, there was no surprise in (the) store. JEP! won Final Jeopardy!, 71-17. Temptation cruises to the S**t Sixteen.
In the Burleson Bracket, How Much Is Enough? has finally had enough. Take It All took the 59-29 loss and the ticket to the next round.
Finally, in the Goddard Bracket, Set for Life set itself up with a 56-10 victory. Without Prejudice? is looking more and more guilty, and a possible dark horse in this turdament.
The second half of Round 2 begins next.

Hoo boy... what a slate of matches we have tonight. Any one of these eight shows has a strong case of being called "Worst Game Show Ever". A lot to think about this weekend. Match #9It's your overall #1 seed again! Card Sharks (Syn, 2001, Pat Bullard) Not surprisingly, the shark went belly-up against Bingo America (Duffy), 99-22. And it will face the #8 seed: 3's a Crowd (Syn, 1979, Jim Peck) The fecal field was too crowded, so Inquizition had to go. It won in the first round, 66-22. Match #10NBC is back in action with the #3 seed: Who's Still Standing? (NBC, 2011-12, Ben Bailey) This show didn't stand a chance against Monopoly, and it lost, 80-40. That show better watch its step because it's playing that unmentionable #11 seed: Shoppers Casino (Syn, 1987, Jeff Maxwell) Show Me the Money got shown the door in the first round with a score of 81-40. Match #11It's another double double-digit match. Here's the #10 seed: Yahtzee (Syn, 1988, Peter Marshall) 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show rolled over this show, 53-35. And it rolls up against the #15 seed: Blank Check (NBC, 1975, Art James) This show drew a big blank against Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (shuffle format), 49-39. Match #12Another double-digit entry is guaranteed to advance thanks to these two shows. Once again, it's cheesy versus sleazy. The cheesy #11 seed: The Newlywed Game (Syn, 1988-89, Paul Rodriguez) Dylan Lane sleepwalked Chain Reaction right out of this turdament with a 40-37 victory. And it takes on the sleazy #14 seed: Strip Poker (Syn/USA, 1999-2001, Graham Elwood) Family Feud (Anderson) drew the nuts against Graham. The score was 74-14. Voting will be closed on Monday August 10 at 7:30 PM Eastern.

Been kind of busy lately, so I haven't voted in the last few sets. But now I will for these...
Match 9: Both of these shows ripped off of golden formats. One ruined the relationships of its players. The other ruined its franchise. Neither truly wins here, but one of them wins a lot less than the other. 3's a Crowd is crowded out of the turdament with 8 points to show for it, while Bullard Card Sharks will not be happy to see this 3.
Match 10: I kind of liked Who's Still Standing and thought it had potential to be better than it was. Shopper's Casino has potential too - but it's potential to be the chumpion at the end of the turdament, because boy is it a stinker. Who's Still Standing stands up for 10 points, Shopper's Casino cashes out its lonely 1.
Match 11: I've always enjoyed watching Blank Check. On the other side of the matchup, I'm always tempted to fast-forward through most of Yahtzee to get to the dice rolls, because the rest of it is rather boring and slow. Blank Check writes its way out of the turdament with 9, while Yahtzee rolls up just 2 points.
Match 12: Neither of these was particularly good, but in the battle of golden format with bad host versus crappy format that doesn't even live up to its title, the golden format has to come out on top. Rodriguez Newlywed holds up a giant card with a 7 on it, while 4 of a kind won't be enough to save Strip Poker.

* I'm actually kind of the opposite of Scott in regard to Match 9: Card Sharks may have ruined its franchise, but 3's A Crowd not only ruined relationships but also sent Chuck Barris Productions packing after the 1979-80 season and pretty much destroyed Jim Peck's hosting career. 6-5 in favor of Card Guppies. * Who's Still Standing? was an okay format with a good host, but had a ton of issues and remains a black mark on the genre. Shopper's Casino, on the other hand, has no redeeming factors. 10-1 in favor of NBC. * I liked Yahtzee, although that might be because I played the real game so much when I was young and have a soft spot for Ralph Andrews shows in general, plus Peter Marshall was host and I can't fault him. Blank Check was...just kinda boring. 8-3 in favor of Ralph Andrews. * As I've said before, Rodriguez improved as host of Newlywed as his run went on. Strip Poker was just bad. 10-1 in favor of Chuck Barris.

We're back. Let's check out the latest results. I'm going to work backward this time.
We'll start at the Goddard Bracket and find out that The Newlywed Game (Rodriguez) divorced itself from our contest with a 49-17 win over Strip Poker. As I alluded to before, three double-digit seeds will make up the Goddard side of the S**t Sixteen.
In the Burleson Bracket, Blank Check cashed out against Yahtzee, 53-35. Yahtzee rolls on to the regionals.
In the Wagner Bracket, Who's Still Standing? dropped out of the turdament with a 70-18 victory over Shoppers Casino. Yes, we're gonna keep talking about the dirty little secret of 1980s game shows.
Finally, in the Rosen Bracket... WE HAVE A TIE! Card Sharks (Bullard) 44, 3's a Crowd (Peck) 44. For the first time in this turdament, we're going to sudden death overtime.
As stated in the rules earlier, I will give my opinions and cast the deciding 6-5 vote.
So let's start with the games themselves. Card Sharks (Bullard) shared only its name and its general high/low premise with the classic versions from the 1970s and 1980s. Everything else was changed for the sake of change. I don't have a problem with extreme changes... if the changes are good. These changes were not good. 3's a Crowd (Peck) was essentially Newlywed Game minus one couple plus three secretaries. Chuckie Baby pushed the envelope of decency too far with this premise.
Now to the hosts. If you've seen just one episode of The Joker's Wild, Second Chance, or even The Big Showdown, then you know that Jim Peck was a good host. On 3's a Crowd, Peck was just... there. Unlike Eubanks, Peck couldn't ad-lib his way out of paper bag and he couldn't seem to get emotionally involved in any of the contestants who might have been one dirty secret away from divorce. Just there to collect a check. And then there's Pat Bullard. You know what you're getting when you watch him in anything. His BS is out in the open for everybody to see. He's fake, he's smarmy, he's not funny, he's not a nice guy, and he's killed every show that he has ever been near. I am thoroughly convinced that if Pat was given The Price Is Right in 2007, our beloved show would have died a painful death in 2008. Steve Gavazzi may not be a fan of Drew Carey's hosting, but he should be damn lucky that we didn't end up with Pat.
The sets are a minor quibble, but I'll go ahead and bring them up while I'm here. The set for 3's a Crowd (Peck) was too simple, while the set for Card Sharks (Bullard) was too gaudy.
Overall, 3's a Crowd (Peck) was enjoyably bad... but Card Sharks (Bullard) was vomit-inducing bad.
I'm casting my 6-5 vote in favor of 3's a Crowd (Peck). Card Sharks (Bullard) will swim into the next round.
The final four matches of Round 2 are next.

The last four tickets to the S**t Sixteen will be punched 72 hours from now. Match #13We begin with the #7 seed: Sex Wars (Syn, 2000-01, J.D. Roth) In the words of Salt-N-Pepa, let's talk about sex. This show lost against The Human Mullet and Let's Go Back, 34-10. And it goes to war against the #15 seed: Instant Recall (GSN, 2010, Wink Martindale) The crowd recalled that Donnymid was less terrible than this show, and handed Wink a 76-23 loss. Match #14It's 4-5 time! This will be an interesting one. Here's your #4 seed: The Moment of Truth (FOX, 2008-09, Mark L. Walberg) Our earlier moment of truth declared Let's Ask America (Bellamy) to be relatively better. It was a decisive defeat for the Antiques Roadshow host, 69-8. The #5 seed is now officially a candidate for Game Show Garbage's worst game show of the 2014-15 season: 500 Questions (ABC, 2015, Richard Quest) The Chair gave our voters fewer heart palpitations, and it won with a score of 62-37. Match #15NBC and GSN fight it out for another S**t Sixteen entry. Here's the #5 seed: Let's Make a Deal (NBC, 2003, Billy Bush) Double Dare 2000 bushwhacked this show earlier with a score of 71-39. And it takes on the #13 seed: Burt Luddin's Love Buffet (GSN, 1998-2000, John Cervanka as Burt Luddin) It's a second helping at the buffet, as this show lost to 1 vs. 100 (Inaba) by a score of 55-22. Proceed carefully, as symptoms of two trips to the buffet may include indigestion and stomach inflation. Match #16The pain, the pain! Two of the most excruciating game shows in history face off. Get your Excedrin bottles. Here's the last of our #1 seeds: The Chamber (FOX, 2002, Rick Schwartz) Hidden Agenda emerged from the torture chamber in the first round, 33-11. And here's the #8 seed: That dude on the cardboard box is smiling because even he knew that this game show would turn out awful. That's why Camouflage (GSN) escaped with a 65-12 win. Votes are due on Thursday August 13 at 9:15 PM Eastern.

Another set of matches is in the books. Let's see who will fill the remaining slots. In the Rosen Bracket, Instant Recall c**k-blocked Sex Wars, 30-14. Sorry, J.D. We loved Fun House, but your last game show just didn't arouse us.In the Wagner Bracket, 500 Questions won the battle against The Moment of Truth, 54-12. Honestly, The Moment of Truth could actually give Rossi Moreale an out in the next round. In the Burleson Bracket, Let's Make a Deal (Bush) zonked Burt Luddin's Love Buffet, 37-7. That sets up a huge GSN fight in the next round. Finally, in the Goddard Bracket, Taboo made The Chamber a taboo word. Taboo took the 43-23 win and The Chamber made sure that three #1 seeds stayed in the running. And that's your lineup of the sixteen worst game shows of all time. Coming up, the field will be whittled down to the Excrement Eight.
