That certainly doesn't say "sweet". Use your imagination. Actually, it would be sweet for us... because we get to keep bashing these sixteen game shows. Since we're into the regional semifinals, all of our remaining players have changed venues. We're also changing the rules slightly. For the rest of this series, we will do only two matches per post instead of four. We're going to start this round with the two matches in the Goddard Bracket, taking place in beautiful downtown Stillwater, Minnesota. This bracket was the most brutal, as three double-digit seeds advance to this stage of the turdament. One double-digit seed is guaranteed a spot in the Excrement Eight. That will occur in the second match. Match #1#1 seed -- The Chamber (FOX, 2002, Rick Schwartz) #12 seed -- Without Prejudice? (GSN, 2007, Dr. Robi Ludwig) Match #2#10 seed -- National Bingo Night (ABC, 2007, Ed Sanders) #14 seed -- Strip Poker (Syn/USA, 1999-2001, Graham Elwood) Votes are due on Monday August 17 at 5:30 PM Eastern.

* Oh, boy, prejudice versus torture. I don't want to give either any points, but at least Without Prejudice? was good in a psychoanalysis sort of way. The Chamber had one good thing and that was the Pass the Buck-esque preliminary game that was only there to determine who got the option of "$500 or Torture?" (and I have the feeling they cut out any preliminary games that ended with "I'll take the $500, thanks."). 10-1 in favor of GSN.
* At least National Bingo Night could be good if you're in the right mood, much like most lottery game shows, whereas Strip Poker had no point because it wasn't on Skinemax or somesuch. 8-3 in favor of ABC.

Yeah..that pile of garbage anyway I have no choice but to ABSTAIN from all matches because I've only seen the chamber I agree that the first few weeks of Big Brother this season were as gimmicky as the final season of prime-time Deal or No Deal. Thankfully the three unwelcome twists have ended and the show is much more enjoyable now. Anyway, to stay on topic, I have good feeling The Chamber will be the grand champion (reference to Aussie Temptation intentional) of this tournament.

Since Big Brother is a reality show and not an actual game show, it doesn't count in any form in any "worst game shows" list. In a "worst reality shows" list... yeah, a 100-way tie for first place.

One bracket down, three brackets to go! At the top of the Goddard Bracket, Without Prejudice? wasn't offensive enough to lost to The Chamber. The score was 63-14, so FOX takes the first spot in the Excrement Eight. And at the bottom of the Goddard Bracket, National Bingo Night drew the 59-18 win over Strip Poker. USA's softcore porn will fight FOX's legalized torture later to represent this bracket in the Fecal Four.Let's move straight on to the Burleson Bracket. Four turdy games have met in beautiful downtown Elizabethtown, New York, to decide the next two regional finalists. Match #3GSN is guaranteed its first entry in the Excement Eight, thanks to these two shows: #8 seed -- Love Triangle (GSN, 2011, Wendy Williams) #13 seed -- Burt Luddin's Love Buffet (GSN, 1998-2000, John Cervanka as Burt Luddin) Match #4NBC's only S**t Sixteen entry versus one of six syndicated S**t Sixteen entries. #6 seed -- Take It All (NBC, 2012, Howie Mandel) #10 seed -- Yahtzee (Syn, 1988, Peter Marshall) Votes are due on Thursday August 20 at 6 PM Eastern.

* Love Buffet had Charlie O'Donnell and a series finale that actually wasn't that bad. Love Triangle...uh...the set was okay? 10-1 in favor of Love Buffet.
* I don't get all the Yahtzee hate -- I thought it was an okay show. Take It All had a good host and a rare on-set announcer, but reminded everybody why the Prisoner's Dilemma needs to GTFO from the genre...and why I'm sure it never will. 9-2 in favor of Yahtzee.

We're halfway done now. Let's see how this part of the bracket turned out. On the north side, Burt Luddin's Love Buffet finally went into a food coma and beat Love Triangle, 42-13. Who will Wendy wrangle in a while? On the south side, Yahtzee fills the upper section of the card and wins against Take It All, 89-21. So it'll be Wendy versus Howie for a spot in the Fecal Four.Let's motor west to Garden Grove, California, for these four game shows of the Wagner Bracket: Match #5#1 seed -- Temptation: The New Sale of the Century (Syn, 2007-08, Rossi Morreale) #4 seed -- The Moment of Truth (FOX, 2008-09, Mark L. Walberg) Match #6#10 seed -- Love Connection (Syn, 1998-99, Pat Bullard) #11 seed -- Shoppers Casino (Syn, 1987, Jeff Maxwell) These voters are due by Monday August 24 at 7 PM Eastern.

I've missed a couple of these, but this set I wanted to make sure I got to.
Match 5: Honestly, having watched the Temptation clips, it's not nearly as bad as it's been made out to be. Is it a poor imitation of the original Sale? Absolutely, but at least they tried, even if they failed terribly. The Moment of Truth... might be a show, but it's not a good GAME show - it's more like Jerry Springer or Maury except with money added. It ruined players' relationships with their families in some cases, and it definitely ruined its relationship with the 11 points I have to give. Temptation takes the Instant Bargain for 10, while The Moment of Truth finds out the truth hurts, clinging to the remaining 1.
Match 6: As bad as Love Connection may or may not be, as bad as Pat Bullard may or may not be, all of that pales in comparison to the cluster*bleep* that is Shopper's Casino. I'm not taking any chances that it doesn't reach the Excrement Eight... Love Connection dials it up to 11, Shopper's Casino goes BUST.

Match 1: 3-8 Favour of FOX Moment of truth was at least entertaining If this were a competition for Australian game shows than Temptation would have won because somehow the show is more bearable because they got Bert to host it but yeah...
Match 2: Never seen either one and I'm not gonna waste my time watching them ABSTAIN

Man, talk about four stinkers...
* Temptation might have damaged its franchise (and, arguably, that of the Aussie Temptation) with its crap host, format, and head-slapping production decisions, but it wasn't out-and-out sleaze. The Moment of Truth showed...well, a lot of things that made you feel dirty after watching an episode. 10-1 in favor of Temptation, if only because Mark L. Walberg saves the latter from being a 100% bust (plus the fact he regrets doing the show).
* The late-1990s Love Connection stunk, but at least it was relatively harmless and I'm relatively sure it isn't actually a game show...as opposed to Shopper's Casino, which claimed to be a game show and sucked in every facet. 11-0 in favor of Pat Bullard, and good lord I hope that's the only time I ever say that.

The opinions were very strong on all four shows in both directions. Let's see who emerged as the losers. On the upper level, it looked for a while as if I had to break another tie. In the end, though, Temptation: The New Sale of the Century checked out and beat The Moment of Truth, 64-57. FOX now owns one-quarter of this year's Excrement Eight. On the lower level, the margin was much wider. Love Connection (Bullard) busted Shoppers Casino, 60-28. Pat is grinning over one of his shows not being the worst game show of all time... but he's not out of the woods yet. His other show is coming up.We end this round with the Rosen Bracket--live from beautiful downtown Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Match #7#1 seed -- Card Sharks (Syn, 2001, Pat Bullard) #4 seed -- The Meow Mix Think Like a Cat Game Show (GSN, 2008, Chuck Woolery) Match #8#7 seed -- Sex Wars (Syn, 2000-01, J.D. Roth) #14 seed -- Thousand Dollar Bee (Black Family Channel, 2004-07, Sinatra Onieyewacki) Votes are due on Thursday August 27 at 6:30 PM Eastern.

Match 1: This is probably the hardest decision yet because both were equally bad lets see here.. Card Sharks took one of my beloved game shows and made it into trash...On the other hand Meow Mix (the food not the show) gave my Cat food poisoning so...9-3 Favour of *Deep Sigh* Card Sharks
Match 2: Abstaining because these 2 are equally bad
Oh yeah and since you won't accept Big Brother as my worst show how about...

9-3 Favour of *Deep Sigh* Card Sharks A typo this time? Do you mean 9-2, or 8-3?

You know, it's a damn shame that only one of these shows can make the Fecal Four, because at least two really deserve it...
Match 7: As much as we all dislike or even hate Bullard Card Sharks, it at least tried to be a real game show. It failed in many, many ways, but it at least made the attempt to fit in the mold of a proper game. Million Dollar Cat Show, on the other hand, is a blight upon the industry and its only redeeming features are Chuck Woolery and the fact that it was a one-off. It won't be a sweep, because there are still some things that I can't let slide, but Bullard Card Sharks gets a 9 it can be happy with, while Meow Mix Think Like a Cat Game Show goes number 2 in the litterbox.
Match 8: As bad as Sex Wars may or may not be, there's no way I can let Thousand Dollar Bee have even the slightest hope of escape. It is an absolute mess of a "show," and that's not even getting into things like the set and the bee costume. Sex Wars wins the battle with the 11-point pass, while Thousand Dollar Bee has more war to fight as it goes totally broke.

This round is over... and you will never believe these results!
On the high end, Card Sharks (Bullard) finally turned over an ace! Pat the Grinning Fool beat The Meow Mix Think Like a Cat Game Show, 49-39. Both of Pat's shows have gone out in the S**t Sixteen round, but GSN joins FOX in taking two shows to the round of eight.
On the low end, Sex Wars hit its climax and defeated Thousand Dollar Bee, 36-8. The buzz is for real. That show sucked a lot of ass, and there will be fighting like cats and dogs bees in the next round.
We will have those first two exciting matches... tomorrow night!
