After over three months of nominating and voting, we have finally reached the proverbial land of parting gifts. Hundreds of game shows sucked. Only 72 game shows entered our turdament. 68 turds have been proved not to be the worst game show of all time. We are now left with our final f... wait, we can't say that phrase because it's copyrighted. We are now left with our... finishing foursome.
Welcome to beautiful downtown Flint, Michigan, for the final three matches in this spirited and sometimes controversial Internet event. This week, we'll play out the two Fecal Four games. Next week, we'll vote on the ultimate loser.
Without further ado... here come the newlyweds!
Match #1
#1 seed -- The Chamber (FOX, 2002, Rick Schwartz)
As the loser of the Goddard Bracket, this lawsuit magnet stomped past the obnoxious Hidden Agenda, the even more obnoxious Taboo, the objectionable Without Prejudice?, and the crass Strip Poker. Will the torture continue?
#14 seed -- Thousand Dollar Bee (Black Family Channel, 2004-07, Sinatra Onieyewacki)
The loser of the Rosen Bracket provided us with one upset after another, although watching the only partial episode known to exist on the web will tell you that it's not as big an upset as we think. The higher-ranked bombs that got served with the stingers of salvation were #3 seed Match Game (Burger), #11 seed The Neighbors, #7 seed Sex Wars, and #4 seed The Meow Mix Think Like a Cat Game Show. Can this pest fly away with the title?
Match #2
#4 seed -- The Moment of Truth (FOX, 2008-09, Mark L. Walberg)
The Wagner Bracket had a lot of honestly strong candidates for worst game show of all time. This loathsome FOX flop came out on top of the steaming pile. Let's Ask America (Bellamy) went to sleep, 500 Questions won its battle, Temptation: The New Sale of the Century got knocked off, and Shoppers Casino had nothing more to offer. What will the polygraph register this week?
#8 seed -- Love Triangle (GSN, 2011, Wendy Williams)
Undoubtedly, the most questionable of this year's 72 entries. A lot of debate on whether this qualified as a game show rather than just a bad GSN talk show. I allowed it, and here it stands as the loser of the Burleson Bracket. It blew more than Million Dollar Password, Lie Detectors, Burt Luddin's Love Buffet, and Take It All. Is there enough filth to put this show in the finale?
Votes are due on Sunday September 13 at noon Eastern.
