Having gotten more inspiration from tlc38tlc38 , I've decided upon making a new puzzle board. I wanted to make one that's easy for anyone to make. Remembering the classic Toss Across game, I figured that would be a perfect way to make such a puzzle board. Earlier today, I bought two Toss Across games at Target today for $11 each (including tax). I will need eight more before I complete it. So it'll be a long term effort, but I bought two just so I could experiment with ways of how I could bind the two games together. I settled upon blue masking tape and wrapped them around the game boards. Here's what I got so far. Sorry it's rotated to the left. I've been having a problem with rotating images here, but what do you guys think?

Cool idea. So it will be 6 rows of 15 trilons each?
Back in the mid-late 2000's, Target sold trilon picture frames. I was actually hoping to do what you're doing by buying several of them over time. Sadly, they discontinued them after I was only able to buy two sets (four trilons). To this day, I use one of them on my desk to display my initials in the style of the old puzzle board letters.

Yep, six rows of fifteen each, although the top four rows will be used for the puzzles only. The bottom two rows may very likely be used for the Used Letter Board.
As for your frames, that's a shame that they discontinued them like that. They would've very likely been perfect for me as well.

That's a good idea to use the bottom 2 rows for the ULB.
What are the size of the squares?

Each square is 3 1/8 inches tall by 2 7/8 inches wide. The height of the whole board is 25 inches (just over two feet). The width of what I have so far is 11 1/2 inches So, I'm going to want something long and high enough to prop all of this against a wall, preferably five feet long by two to three feet high by six inches wide.

Any progress made?
I'd like to see a puzzle on your board!

It's going to be a while before I purchase the next set of Toss Across games, but I may start making letter tiles in the meantime.

Are you going to paint one side green or print out the "green WOF tiles"...or just leave one side yellow?

No, I'm going to use construction paper, green for the unused, white for the letters, punctuation, etc. For the used yet unrevealed, I'll keep them yellow.

Two more photos to show how my puzzle board is going. I've bought another Toss Across game, and I'm heading out in a few minutes to try and find another. The top photo was taken last night while the bottom photo was taken earlier today after adding orange squares to the used letter board.

Looking good!
I really like the idea of having the ULB at the bottom...makes it easier.
I'm going to use a small magnetic dry-erase board for my ULB.

Thanks, and by the way, as you're just about ready to finish up your board, I am halfway there, livin' on a prayer, when it comes to getting the number of Toss Across games I need. Shortly after making my last post here, in which I said I was heading out to find more of those, I stayed true to my word and headed out to Toys "R" Us where I got two more Toss Across games. And I'm sure you all are wondering what that Wheel thing is nearby. It's the center stage rug that the show was supposed to use in Season 30, but since I made a quick trip to California back in 2012 to successfully steal it from them (shrinking it shortly after coming home so it could fit in my room), they were unable to use it. Nah, it's just a mousepad that I got earlier today.

Nice job so far. Have you thought about painting the trilons? The yellow borders kind of clash, but it does make the board a lot brighter.

I got it at Amazon. There's also a version there with the same Wheel layout only it's an illustration that I made. I just bought that version too.

Looks like one of my WOF artworks is made into a mousepad. We're both honored.

I ordered a mousepad with the same layout only it was one that I made back in late 2012. It's on its way. In the meantime, I thought I'd show you all how my puzzle board looked back on Tuesday, ... ... and how it looks now after buying two more Toss Across games earlier today. Sorry the photos are upside down. Why does this keep happening to me?! Anyway, I need one more Toss Across game, and then I'll start working on the letters and punctuation.
