I was out shopping at a mall earlier today when I saw a new Jeopardy! travel card game at a store that sells board games. I noticed that a company called Outset had come out with the game. I talked about the game with the store clerk and he told me that it just arrived at the store today. I didn't buy the game, but I checked Outset's site. It turns out they have two other Jeopardy! games listed on their site: a regular edition and a Deluxe edition.
This makes me wonder if this Canadian company has any Wheel of Fortune games planned to compete with Pressman's.
By the way, on a sidenote, the back of the Travel Edition box states that Jeopardy! started in 1965 when in fact it was the year before.
With all that said, any thoughts?

I did remember seeing that on their websites. Are they selling it in retail stores like Target and whatnot? I checked at my local Wal-Mart and they did not have those.

I just checked Kmart's website, and I saw pictures of the game's contents. From what I'm getting, it's nothing more than a card game. It has 180 cards (each containing a category and five dollar values), six card stands, and play money. That is it. You might as well use the play money to show what clues have been chosen and give each player a calculator to keep score.
According to Outset, the Travel Edition has "exclusive content" and can be used as a supplemental card deck while the Deluxe Edition has extra content and a metal ringer. Once I see the contents of the Deluxe Edition, I'll let you guys know.

Found out what the Deluxe Edition looks like. From the looks of it, the extra contents (apart from the metal ringer) seem to be just more answers and questions. And yes, there's just one metal ringer. Bottom hand gets to answer the question - ahem - question the answer. To see what I mean, the picture can be seen below. www.outsetmedia.com/games/jeopardy-deluxe-editionBTW, think the metal ringer makes a good Toss-Up device should you use Toss-Up puzzles on Pressman's Wheel of Fortune 4th Edition?
