Sorry for the bump, but I did mine at long last! Note in the second picture, I included my Wheel of Fortune slot machine toy seen at the right, and a Sonic wall scroll right above my computer.

Thanks to germanname1990 and MarioGS, I found the item on eBay and I bought it. For everyone else that wanted to get their hands on it, sorry for beating you to the punch, but you know the old saying: You snooze, you lose.

^ Glad you got one, Eugene. As for me, I got more. This one's inspired by the Wheel layout used on Tiger Electronics' 2004 Live Play prototype. Purple $10,000 next to Bankrupt, pink $5000 next to Lose A Turn, and Free Play in the spot where Free Spin was on the prototype layout all equal yet another tribute to my favorite out of all the unreleased Wheel of Fortune games. Special thanks to MarioGS again for making the purple $10,000 and pink $5000 for me. I really appreciate it, Robert. I also added some other cool stuff for that retro feel like an orange $1500, the Double Play and Wild Card, the narrow-lettered Bankrupt from 1996, and even a purple $1250.

What a neat little way to turn just a plain ol' toy from the '70s into a functional Wheel of Fortune wheel. Very nicely done sir.

These things pop up from time to time (I've seen them on eBay on and off for years), but while I'm thinking about it, there's another vintage toy that I bought from Canada back in the summer of 2011, and I haven't seen it on eBay before or since. While it does share the same name as the TV show we all know and love today, it was made way, way back in the 1940s. Even so, the Wheel does look like the Wheel we know and love today. In fact, I'll be honest with you. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a home version of the big spinning Wheel game at the annual church picnic Merv attended when he was a kid. Now I'm not saying for sure that it's true, but if it is, then I think I have a very interesting and maybe even crucial piece of Wheel of Fortune history.

Your video of the wheel spinning was hosted on Vidme, which was shut down in 2017! Can you think of a service to transfer the video from Vidme?

Hi folks, I was trying to research my 1972 Wheel O' Fortune to sell it, when I came across this forum and this thread. Like the others mine is missing the battery cover. The electric mechanism didn't work when I tried it but it's possible my battery was just dead. I've got the original board and box but the box has no top and hence is duty inside but I wiped the piece down and it looks pretty good. $25 US + shipping (most likely $9-11 depending on your proximity to Vancouver). Save me the hassle of listing it on eBay. And I'm a real person, I promise! I have an ecommerce business called Storage Warrior (dot ca) and I can be reached at hello at storagewarrior dot ca. I apologize for possibly spinning a broken Wheel, but another of those Royal London Wheel O' Fortune thingies turned up. I bought it and fully plan on making it into a Wheel of Fortune one myself. I'm already getting some ideas just browsing around on here! I'll keep you posted.

Well, it finally arrived! Shoutout to Storage Warrior, first of all. I'd post a video of this being spun but it exceeded the file size of my email. I'm considering peeling the sticker on the base off and possibly using Goo-Gone on the roulette layout before sanding the entire unit and re-painting it to better match the WOF look I want to do. Any suggestions as to where to start with this kind of project are definitely welcome, I'm already going back through this thread as I type this out!
