Have you ever wished Wheel was more like the Price is Right? Have you wondered what would happen if Wheel of Fortune had the winner move on from each round instead of all three playing a whole game. Well, here's an attempt to do that with an Armed Forces week episode. Does it work or is it a disaster? Judge for yourself:

This was sort of fun but a little confusing. Never the less it was great to see!
I no-lettered R2!

I would have preferred a mini-playoff system, where the winners of each of the first three rounds play each other in the fourth round. I'd still keep the rule where if a player doesn't have the opportunity to start the round (for R1 and R2), the player can continue for the next round. It would be even more TPIR-like, with three games followed by R4/speedup being sort of a Showcase Showdown. If Wheel was an hour-long show, it could then go even further by repeating the structure as above (eight rounds), with Wheel's equivalent of the Showcase being played like the Bonus Round, with the top winner randomly selecting one of the WHEEL envelopes, having RSTLNE given, and then the top winner having the opportunity to guess first by giving out any letter (vowels or consonants), having five seconds to guess. If the top winner fails, then the runner up calls a letter and guesses. The round ends when either a player guesses the puzzle, or no player guesses after eight letters, in which case, no prize is awarded (the equivalent of a double overbid).
Still, an interesting format which I never even knew about until much later and a fun episode.
