I think you're all reading way too much into the way Wheel runs things. But it's fun to over analyze everything!

But otherwise, you are correct; we have yet to see anyone win the $100K after Bankrupting a claimed MDW. I don't think anyone has even hit the $100K envelope after a post-solve bankrupt. Post-solve, no. We did have someone lose the $100K after a same-round MDW Bankrupt, though.

I think you have to go for the $3000 if you know it. Yes you risk losing the MDW, but at least it'll help you make it to the BR. If someone else gets the $3000 and then lands on $5000, you may lose your chance at going to the BR.

I think last night (5/30/17) presented an interesting scenario for what was proposed, but instead of a toss-up, it was likely the last regular spin round. The guy had a commanding lead, so he was going to the bonus round. He had the MDW, and my clock said a little less than 10 minutes remaining in the show. I could sense the final spin was soon. It was his turn. On the first spin, he hits a number, and successfully calls out a letter. My thought on his first spin was, if I were him, I would do everything I could to avoid having to spin that wheel until Pat gives the final spin. That might have meant calling out a z,x, or q and get the turn away from him, hopefully long enough to have the other two run the clock out. It would have been fun to see that. Of course, he spins again and hits bankrupt. Yes, I know the odds are terrible. But, he had already gotten that far, which is further than most people. I know he had the big hurdle left, the 1 out of 24 shot of picking the right envelope. He did solve the final puzzle. Still, I would have altered my strategy just long enough to protect the MDW and have that 1 in 24 chance. Winning a million would mean that retirement happens in 5-6 years rather than 11 years given my current situation. It would have been worth it to try.

I think last night (5/30/17) presented an interesting scenario for what was proposed, but instead of a toss-up, it was likely the last regular spin round. Jim did have a Toss Up sweep, so we could have heard a guess of "I HAVE NO FREAKING CLUE", but if he had to spin the wheel, then I would agree that calling a Z would be the best choice. He still won a car, so I don't think it will matter much.
