They already move the Prize wedge over the red $800 when the Prize wedge itself is red enough to look bad next to it, right? How about they slide that over and put the Wild Card over that $500? I suppose that creates five special wedges in a row in Round 2, though, which might be a bit overkill (Free Play-Mystery-Lose A Turn-Prize-WC)
Or maybe they swap the Wild Card with the Gift Tag and live with the fact that the Gift Tag is only in play for Round 1.

^ The Gift Tag usually overlaps with the wedges on either side, so it couldn't go next to the top value or any other add-on wedge.

I predict that... * Wheel will come up with a great idea but somehow bungle it, which seems to be an annual tradition for them. * Many potential sponsors will continue to be ignored in favor of Harry's cars-and-trips mentality. * Celebrities will continue to appear solely to plug something, not to play the game. * Children will continue to be ignored as potential contestants. The only things that are realistic in that list are the "sames" and the Bonus Round prizes. None of the rest of that is happening, Honestly, I could see them (ironically) retiring $3,500 to save money, with a $1,000/$2,500/$2,500/$5,000 structure replacing it. I could also see limiting the Wild Card to Round 1, for the same reason. Moving the Trip Puzzle to Round 1 would be reasonable (so players actually have a decent chance of overcoming the deficit), but as we've seen this show hasn't exactly done "reasonable" for a while now. |

Honestly, although I’m not sure what they could really do, I would love to see a new set. With only minor tweaks here and there, it’s been the same for 14 years.

I'm curious regarding the opening title graphics. For the past four seasons, we have had the Sony Pictures Studios revival in the intro, with Seasons 32 and 33 using the same logo (Season 34 used title cards for a particular week's theme). I'm sure there'll be a new logo for this upcoming Season.
That being said, yes I think it is time for a new set. The current one has been in use since 2003, albeit with several minor changes (many of which occurred after the show transitioned to HD).

Well, I think they're referring to a drastic overhaul, kinda like what we saw in 2003. I know the scoreboards changed around 2010 but I thought it was earlier than that. That's probably what Dylan's calling a "minor tweak," though.

Ah. I thought they were referring to the background set pieces (the glass panels, towers and arches we have now). Depending on how you look at it, the scoreboards have changed four times since the 2003 neon overhaul:
- Changed to just large monitors with a silver housing across all podiums in 2007
- Changed to neon housings that are lit for the appropriate player in 2009
- Changed to three large screens taking up the entire area in 2012
- Background finally changed to a generic texture in 2015.
I do miss each scoreboard having its own colored border, but the full-size screens look nice too with the colors. Now if only they made better use of them like maybe putting a Wild Card icon or making the numbers a bit larger.

I also hope they'll change the category strips. Last time we saw such a change was Season 26. Before that, the category strips would change every season or two.

They did change them a bit in Season 30 to have a "shine" effect and later a "flash" animation was added on solves.
Also, in case anyone never noticed before, Season 33 finally permanently fixed "Character(s)" being in the wrong font.
