THE PLANET EARTH? Really? What generic hellhole did that puzzle come from?
I do appreciate when the BR difficulty is set beforehand, and we should have had wins on Monday & Wednesday. But we desperately need a win right now, and they should know (but they don't of course) 2018 is now 0-9. That said, BOUTIQUE is plenty hard enough already, did we need a compound tricky adjective on top of it?

Wife actually guessed the BR correctly. I really had to groan when it come to "Taking more than a new snapshots". I will always wonder if the wife knew the answer on the missolve and thought he was really going to say "More than a few snapshots". Just glad it was not me, because my wife would never let it down that we just handed a Danube cruise to someone else. Ouch.

I regret not seeing Difficult to Know for some consolation money, but, sometimes you just don't see it. Anyways, the prize puzzle is so important, it was pretty much the game for either team that got to play (not us, lol).

Ryan, with all the bad luck you and Anne received, you did a good job. Glad you won the third Toss-Up!
Otherwise, I think the Horvaths lucked out for most of the front game. Personally, I think that when a player (or team) solves multiple puzzles for the minimum as well as the Prize Puzzle for no cash, it doesn't look good for the BR. But welcome to the boards, Kelly!
Glad Latasha redeemed herself after messing up in the Prize Puzzle. NEW didn't make much sense.
I got the BR with RSTLNE, and it looks like the darn U was the hot vowel.
My rating: 5
I'm pretty sad that our losing streak is now near double digits. Hopefully we can avoid the skunk spray like last season's edition of this theme.

"More than a NEW"? Another thuddingly obvious missolve.
I honestly thought R4 was far more difficult to know than the BR. Who even says "difficult to know" anyway?

Hi there. Actually, I've been on the boards since 2016. I'm curious what you mean by this statement. I would totally agree that we lucked out as we never really had control of the wheel for any length of time. We were batting clean up the whole night. But are you implying that we only solved because of luck and not because we knew anything? We knew almost every puzzle pretty early on but it just wasn't our turn so we ended up just waiting for someone to make a mistake or have a bad spin. By the time it got to us we really had no choice but to solve.

I'm pretty sad that our losing streak is now near double digits. Assuming it reaches that today (I have zero hope for the month of January or the rest of S35 for that matter), this will be the 11th known losing streak to reach 10 shows or more, and the first since Season 32. - September 2 - 18, 2002 (13)
- June 1 - September 20, 2005 (10)
- October 1 - 12, 2007 (10)
- March 10 - 21, 2008 (10)
- January 16 - 29, 2013 (10)
- January 31 - February 14, 2013 (11)
- April 3 - 17, 2013 (11)
- May 7 - 24, 2013 (14)
- February 26 - March 11, 2015 (10)
- May 14 - 27, 2015 (10)
March 2008 and January 2016 tie for the fewest wins in a calendar month, with three.

By the time it got to us we really had no choice but to solve. The prize puzzle is no brainer, know it, solve it, plain and simple. The show is part skill and part luck, we all know that. Anne and I hogged the wheel round 2. We knew that the mystery wedge was potentially our chance to win the game. After we got the bankrupt, there were maybe 3 letter left. Blue missed. On couples week if you only have 3 letters left and no money, I think it is the best strategy to take the 2k and move on. I don't think anyone wishes anyone else bad luck, but on the flip side we are all there to try and win and we know the misfortunes of our competitors can be our gains. I would have loved to be in your position after the missolve, not because it is enjoyable to see someone make a mistake but because that was a huge (unknown) prize. It sealed the deal!

Kelly, I didn't get to see your episode yet, and usually don't have much to add to the post-show conversations, but I first want to say congrats on your winnings, and secondly, I'd like to share my immediate reaction to reading your response to genius's comment. Unless I'm reading out of context, I think genius was in his own way patting you on the back for beating the odds of making it to the Bonus Round despite solving puzzles for the minimum and the Prize Puzzle for no cash. While I can see how you may interpret that as an insult to your game-playing ability, I don't think that's the case here at all. Again, congratulations! I'm hoping to watch your DVR'd episode tonight.

Let me rephrase: I thought you simply benefited from your opponents’ mishaps and cleaned up quite nicely because of that. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.

That is why I asked. I wasn't sure what you meant.
When I signed up for the show I knew there were big fans but I didn't realize there were people that made it their hobby to critique and rank every episode and player. I saw some blogs dedicated to play by play commentary. Most pretty innocuous but some just downright mean or judgemental. It's a game show.
I will give one piece of advice to future contestants.... avoid twitter after your episode. I made the mistake of looking. It was really disheartening to see people bash you for your appearance or your perceived personality. To be made fun of for being on a game show is pretty ridiculous. I hadn't really expected it. And I feel just so bad for Latasha and Marcus. The internet has been merciless over that prize puzzle mishap. They were the sweetest people and even gave us a ride to our hotel after. She was really beating herself up after that and I think all the armchair solvers out there who like to rank and rate our performances only make it worse. I think goes against the spirit of the show. Just my 2 cents.

You took advantage of situations that presented themselves to you. Could you have gone after more money in the non-prize puzzle rounds? Sure. But who's to say the wheel might not have been unkind to you and made you pay for that decision. I thought you guys did really well, and I hope you have an absolute BLAST on the Danube!! John

Coming from experience, I am totally OK w/anyone solving the Prize Puzzle that way and I wouldn't have done it any differently Don't chance the wheel taking that getaway away from you. My wife and I are going to enjoy our 15th Anniversary in STYLE thanks to my opponent hitting bankrupt right before my turn during the Prize Puzzle Round Not going to feel bad about it LOL John

I know they were not happy, my wife did not know what to say while I was upstairs signing stuff. Then you told me what they did after the show, and given the circumstances, it was very nice of them. Anytime someone is on national TV, they put themselves out there and there is going to be stuff said whether we like it or not. The fact is when you get on this program you really become a member of an elite group. Over a million people apply, less than 600 get on a year? That is a crazy small pool! I still think this game is way easier in my living room, but I had a hell of a time doing it in studio.

We are DEFINITELY part of an Elite Group, and I think the hardest part was not being able to tell anyone anything about the episode or anything like that for 2 months until the show actually aired. Was one of the hardest things I've had to do since I'm extremely close with my family. I'm glad you guys were at least able to walk away with more than just the house minimum!! Wish you could have won more because you guys were great players!! Finally I also think it's easier to solve puzzles when you're sitting in the comfort of your own living room, but for me, once I was able to solve the 2nd Toss Up everything slowed down/calmed down and I literally felt like I was AT home playing along like I normally do every night LOL Congrats again and welcome to the Club!!! So I cannot comment on the BR because we did not make it there. I had my mind set on Sea and Shores and shipping type puzzles for the first tossup, I was not thinking along the lines of slogan, Latasha got it a little quicker than I. Russ sort of hit that second puzzle earlier, I thought it was a good solve, I told him good job on the show. We had every puzzle up to the last one, so I think after the first puzzle we settled in. The BR stakes are higher though, 35k minimum, surely there is some sense of stress put on that.
