BR results aside, this was a fun few episodes to watch in person. Definitely entertaining! Highs and lows of course. We left after this show, so it will be interesting to see how shows 5 and 6 pan out.
It was so much fun sitting in the audience section with other contestant guests. We obviously had a far more vested interest in the game than the general audience, and it was fun to cheer on everyone in the other shows with people who were really into it. A unique aspect I never really considered before.
That darn mystery wedge! Feast or famine. I’d have gone for it also in your situation. If that is 10k, you win the game. Gotta play to win when you have the chance.

There is always going to be a disconnect between watchers and contestants on what basic contestant quality is expected. I've tried to temper my expectations over the years plenty, but sometimes it's just ridiculously bad.
"A NEW PICTURES" doesn't even make grammatical sense. Is this what the stage/lights can really do to someone?

If I hadn't been on this episode this was a good one to watch. A lot of drama and ups and downs. I think it can be kind of boring when one person dominates the whole way through. Its exciting TV when someone makes a mistake or something crazy happens and those are the shows that can be the most fun to watch. But experiencing is different. We definitely walked away feeling like we wished we'd had a better chance with the wheel. The few times we started off with the wheel we either hit bankrupt or called a bad letter. We never controlled it. So, of course, we wish we'd had that chance. But I'm sure all of us wish we'd done something differently. Also, people who've done it solo don't realize how much harder it is to do it as a team. You have to not only think about the puzzle but think about your partner and communicate with them about what to say and do. That added a whole extra layer onto this. Overall I'm so glad we did this. I thought everyone we met were really nice and now we are part of this new little family. It's like having a lot of cousins all over the country! In thinking back, we had this checklist of 'experiences' we wanted to have and we checked almost all the boxes so we can't really ask for more. Call out a letter ✓ Spin the wheel ✓ Solve a toss-up ✓ Buy a vowel - I can't remember if we did or not... Win the prize puzzle ✓ Pick up a wedge - Get on the express Get the wild card Make it to the bonus round ✓ Spin the little BR wheel ✓ Solve the BR puzzle Talk to Pat ✓ Talk to Vanna ✓ Overall, not too bad.

"A NEW PICTURES" doesn't even make grammatical sense. Is this what the stage/lights can really do to someone? Absolutely. Isn’t it strange, I don’t get what it is. I was pretty much calm on the outside. In rehearsal I was calm, solved a tossup, spun the wheel, Anne called letters, I was smooth. Turn on those lights and let me tell you it got hot, lol, I was busting a bead on my forehead and makeup had to touch me up and give me a fan between commercials ( I am laughing over here hard). I mean I was still calm and in game mode, but when those lights go on an tape rolls it is just different. I think some people crack when there is at stake. I would never try to judge when someone made an obvious mistake because I never knew what it was like. I cannot speak for Latasha, I don’t know what happened, but it did. The poor gal will go through a lot of ridicule for the mistake, but it isn’t like she is the first person. Oh, by the way, I would do this again even if it was twice as hot.

Is this what the stage/lights can really do to someone? We were thinking the same thing sitting on our couch. Not sure if it was the lights, the pressure, or whatnot, but that one definitely baffled us. Just like in the previous round when she guessed an "S" near the end of the puzzle. Logically there was NOWHERE That the S could have gone. Strange night indeed LOL

Trust me you put me anywhere near lights and my head definitely takes on a nice sweaty shine in no time ESPECIALLY when there's added pressure of game play and being in front of a studio audience. They had to touch up my head during the commercial breaks as well. Plus I had the added bonus of having the Contestant Coordinators telling me to tone it down as the booth was going deaf LOL (They told us to PROJECT our voices during the audition. Little did they realize what kind of a naturally loud voice I was bringing to the table LOL). And I also agree wholeheartedly with you. I would do it again IN A HEARTBEAT!! No matter what the temp in the studio might be just to have another crack at that wheel would be out of this world!!

Wife actually guessed the BR correctly. I really had to groan when it come to "Taking more than a new snapshots". I will always wonder if the wife knew the answer on the missolve and thought he was really going to say "More than a few snapshots". Just glad it was not me, because my wife would never let it down that we just handed a Danube cruise to someone else. Ouch. It, however, was Latasha that solved the puzzle and misspoke. I regret not seeing Difficult to Know for some consolation money, but, sometimes you just don't see it. Anyways, the prize puzzle is so important, it was pretty much the game for either team that got to play (not us, lol). Thanks for clarifying. I am curious to know if at that point she made the solve attempt you knew the real solution to the puzzle and just assumed that was what she was going to say. As soon as I heard "new", I confess to yelling out an "Oh No!" from my easy chair. I assume they do not give couples the opportunity to confer with one another if one wishes to solve. As for the attempt, it could happen to anyone, and I imagine it is much harder in person than it is watching TV. I admit to sometimes hollering at the TV "How do you not see that?" during the bonus round. BTW, just did it now with "Film Clip". Glad it was not me that missolved. I would hear about it every time Rick Steves was on, or if anything European reared itself on TV or elsewhere. I probably would have to move out of the house, especially if the rest of the winnings was not enough to make a trip across the pond.
