I'm also somebody who has been watching regularly since I've been in a walker, but for me, Season 6 was the first that I could remember pretty clearly, since I remember when the theme song was revamped along with the sounds the first time, and noticed that on weekends that they would have these "old sounds", my first concept of reruns. The thought of even hundreds of dollars seemed like a lot of money to my preschool soul. I even played the DOS game a couple years later at an uncle's house, and hated that the computer player would never play the bonus round if it won. That said, I tend to leave it on more for background music on many nights, unless if a player picks up the MDW wedge, but still like to yell at the TV when something isn't going the way I want it to be.

Like Dylan, my mother got me into Wheel. The season that I have the earliest memories of is Season 13. I distinctly remember the intro from that season. I also have the vaguest memories of Season 12 reruns from that same time period, also because of the intro from that season.
There is a picture of me wearing an old Houston Oilers shirt and watching a Season 12 episode of Wheel. The screen is showing the puzzle board (with the funky puzzle border, and that's how I knew it was Season 12) with a partially filled-in puzzle and the category was Title. A few years ago I was able to use the compendium to identify this episode. If I remember correctly, the puzzle was CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT, which would make the date of the picture December 20, 1994, two days before my second birthday.

I have a picture somewhere of me watching Wheel as a toddler as well. It was taken in November 1996 and I'm sitting comfortably in front of our small kitchen TV with a mug as the Jackpot round is about to start. It had to have been one of the San Francisco shows, because the TV shows the traveling board with a blank four-row puzzle, the Jackpot bug is in the corner, and the Headline newspaper wipe is on the left side of the screen.

I have been watching for the past 35 years (I will be 35 come June) so I have basically grown up with the show.

My first memories of Wheel are scattered - it was back when Woolery hosted it on NBC. As a matter of fact, when I saw the listings for it in TV Guide on WCBS I got all excited and thought they were re-running old Woolery episodes. I was disappointed - but only for a matter of minutes - that it wasn't the old show. The first episode on WCBS had a pre-recorded greeting from Pat welcoming viewers. From then on, I've been watching.
I was 9 then, and have been watching the show ever since (I'm 43 now).

My post wasn't detailed enough about how I got into Wheel so here we go:
This is what happens when my mom plopped me into the front of the TV set back in like late 1998, Season 16 to be exact. Wasn't pretty much a frequent watcher until Season 17. And here I am.

The first season I watched would have been...I dunno, probably 86-87? I was 1 at the time. My grandmother watched it every day, and she was usually watching over me at the time, so I'd have likely been watching. And, as we all know, the spinning colorful wheel it catnip for small children.
When I look at old episodes on YouTube, though, it seems as though 1992 or so is the point at which my brain goes "yep, that's peak Wheel nostalgia", so I'll say Season 10.

I'd been watching Wheel on and off my whole life, but I can actually pinpoint one specific episode that become the point where I really made a point to watch the show. It's also around the time I realized Saturday had reruns (probably helps that the set and theme had changed a lot between seasons).
Around March or April 1993. I even remember the episode, sorta'. After five rounds, the blue (pretty sure it was blue) contestant hadn't won anything, but they went to round 6, Pat spun $5000, and blue ultimately won! Guess it was just a fun episode to really get me into the show.

Season 22. I definitely remember Taylor and Vlada’s 100K win, and, being young at that time, I was scared of the $100,000 animation and confetti. But if GSN decides to ditch Season 31, I hope so, I wish they’d put Season 22. I miss their cool graphics, especially the opening.

Season 14 with the first day of the new board and i got agitated when the golden set got replaced with the current neon thing we've had for almost twenty years. Spired points were much cooler even withe s15 wheel & backdrop upgrades. Shame the videowall replaced it.

I found the picture! I showed this to Prizes and, given that the Headline wipe can be seen, and given what Headline is often about and when this aired, we managed to come up with a likely solution to the puzzle: ATLANTA BRAVES RETURN TO THE WORLD SERIES

Looking at the Puzzle Compendium, we can knock out November 15, 19, 20, 21, and 22 for possible dates for that episode.

For me, it was Season 14 that got me into wheel, particularly the trilon puzzle board, the big band arrangement of "Changing Keys", and certain wedges on the wheel like Surprise. And I also remember weekend reruns of Season 13, the color-coded backdrops behind the contestants. Season 15, I remember the music package was revamped - a more soft rock arrangement of the 1994 theme, and the puzzle solve cue was different. At first I thought the new puzzle board debuted in Season 15, but then later as I was watching old WoF episodes floating on YouTube, I realized it was actually in Season 14. I remember only seeing the trilon puzzle board when I first watched Wheel back in 1997 (then again probably reruns from Season 13) and the touch-monitor board in Season 15.
However it wasn't until Season 27 that I really started watching Wheel regularly, including episodes from previous seasons floating around on YouTube (yes, even episodes from 80s). I think it was because I also began watching sister show Jeopardy! more regularly at that time though I have been watching both shows off and on since 1997.

The family story goes that I learned how to read by watching Wheel of Fortune, so I'm one of the ones that have watched all my life. The earliest season I can remember without watching reruns would be either season 10 or 11. (For sure the earliest first-run episodes I can remember watching had the firework backdrops and were before they introduced the puzzle border with the neon spikes.)
