Hi, everyone. This is acwof. I hope you all have been having a great summer.
Can you believe that in exactly a week from now, we will be starting the 37th Season of Wheel of Fortune!? Yes, I know, it's crazy.
It also means that we'll FINALLY be able to get out of the tomato bath, too. But we still have one more week to stay in here, though.
I am creating this thread to let you all know that I WILL be returning to compose recaps for Season 37. This will be my third season composing recaps.
While there will not be any changes to the recaps, this season, I wanted to go ahead and make a thread regarding the changes for Wheel of Fortune, this season. That way, I can compose the season premiere recap without explaining all the changes within the recap.
So, without further ado, let's get into what's going down for this season.
First of all, the 1/2 Car is now being retired, so the only way you can win a car in Wheel of Fortune is through the Bonus Round. The 1/2 Car made its unofficial debut during a road trip week back in Season 28 before it was officially added to the wheel in Season 29, and has stayed with us up until this point.
Secondly, the $3,000 Toss-Up is also being retired, and will be replaced with a "Triple Toss-Up", where three toss-ups worth $2,000 each will be played back-to-back-to-back. Sometimes, there might be a hidden theme within these three Toss-Ups. The winner of the last Toss-Up will start the next round.
The minimum for prizes is $7,000. (Thanks, MarioGS , for this reminder.)
And of course, our Bonus Round cash minimum will be $37,000.
This will also be Mr. Harry Friedman's last season as Executive Producer of Wheel of Fortune. (The 36th season of Jeopardy! will also be his last season as EP of that show, too.)
Other elements used in seasons past, such as the $10,000 Mystery Wedge Giveaway and the ability for the contestant who wins the Main Game to choose their category for the Bonus Round out of three pre-selected categories, will also return for this season, as well.
So far, these are all the changes for Season 37 of Wheel of Fortune. If there are any changes that I forgot to add, please let me know.
I hope you all are excited for Season 37, because I think that this season will be the best season yet.
I'll see you all next week for the start of Season 37. This is acwof returning to give you all your weekday recaps of WHEEL.....OF.......FORTUNE!
