I'm surprised that's something they never considered doing on the actual show, having the category displayed directly on the puzzle board, rather than superimposed via chyron.

^ On Spain's version, the edge of the board stairs is actually a screen and the category is displayed on it in-studio, along with the Bonus Round chyron and timer.
