I have a bad feeling that at least those VA/D.C. stations will get shut out of watching tonight's SP due to the Navy Yard building shootings, including me.

CBS will be expanding the evening newscast by a half hour tonight. No word yet on whether ABC or NBC will do the same.
/good thing I get Wheel at 730

I really miss Wheel airing on the sub-affiliate here in Boston more and more nowadays...

Well, it didn't matter for me whether the newscast was extended or not, because Time Warner crapped out and all of my stations were just showing static scrambled images for the entire 7:00-7:30 hour. I do have to agree with the decision to extend the newscasts for the Navy Yard shootings if they did, and my condolences go out to the family and friends of the victims, but damn if these kinds of things aren't happening way too often these days.
Hopefully somebody who did get to see tonight's episode will be able to post it.

I was able to catch it along with Jeopardy!. Didn't learn about the shootings until I got online after Wheel, though, so I didn't think to take notes. (I didn't think we had a bad start to the season, though.)

I can't believe you're more concerned about Wheel then you are the Navy Yard shootings. When CBS is the only station extending news and basically rehashing the last half-hour over again, it's more about a cheap ratings grab than anything else. |
