I don't watch every single episode of Wheel of Fortune, but I've watched a fair amount over the years. I'm pretty sure in every episode I've seen, someone always lands on Bankrupt, and someone always lands on that Mystery wedge where they can gamble for $10,000 or go bankrupt. Have there ever been any episodes where nobody lands on bankrupt, or episodes where nobody lands on the Mystery wedge?

There are a bunch of episodes where nobody has landed in any Mystery Wedge, since they are only in one round. And episodes where anybody has landed in Bankrupt... They exist, but it is rare. And it's possible that in episodes where nobdoy has seen landing in Bankrupt, in fact they landed in it, because sequences of turns when all contestants lose their turn without having any effect in their current amounts of cash are edited out. We call them "null cycles"  |

How about episodes where nobody lands on Lose A Turn - are there any of those?
Also, I take it there should be plenty of episodes where nobody lands on the million dollar mini-wedge?

Of course there have been episodes in recent "Wheel" history where no BANKRUPT, LOSE A TURN, or Million Dollar Wedge was even landed. And some episodes have had NO wrong letters called.

The first two aired episodes of Season 31 had the 1/3 MDW space hit, and no Bankrupts or Lose A Turns.
There have also been episodes with the only penalty space in the entire game being the Bankrupt side of the Mystery Wedge, and there was one with no Bankrupt/Lose A Turn hits but a wrong letter on Express.

It is also fairly common for an episode to have Bankrupt landed on 1-2 times but nothing being lost. Nearly every game has at least one Bankrupt that is hit when the player doesn't have anything to lose (usually on their first spins). Thanks for joining, paccy. |
