So as we know we're in the final few weeks of Jeopardy's 30th Anniversary Season, and Season 31 is just around the corner. Not only we had the Battle of the Decades Tournament, but we also had Arthur Chu winning games in a way like never before (it did spark some controversy) and Julia Collins becoming the winningest female contestant and surpassing Dave Madden for 2nd most games won behind Ken Jennings. Additionally, the CES set was replaced with a new one that featured elements of first three Naomi Slodki designed sets (sushi bar, metallic, and CES sets). However, there was some disappointment. Just before the season premiered, it was said the final week of the Battle of the Decades Tournament and a week of celebrity games would be taped in New York City, but the celebrity games were dropped altogether; and this was the second season in a row where there were no road shows.
I'm curious to what changes we might see in Season 31. I kinda have a feeling the Sony Pictures intro from the late 90s will be brought back since Wheel revived it for its 31st Season. Will there be an update to the main theme music with the FJ! think cue left as it is? It seems to be a Jeopardy trend to slightly update the main theme but keep the think music left as it is for each music package, but I'm not sure what they would do with the current music package.
Other changes I'd like to see is Alex standing in front of the board when revealing the FJ! clue, the set turning red in DJ! and changing back to blue at the show's conclusion, road shows, the contestants walking onto the set during their intros (except in the case where at least one of the contestants is blind), and the dollar figures popping in on the DJ! board.
I believe Harry Friedman was behind ending a lot of Jeopardy! traditions beginning in Season 14 such as the microphones being removed from the podiums, the set no longer turning red for DJ! and FJ!, the dollar figures already being already present on the DJ! board, contestants no longer walking onto the set (except on the 2006 celebrity episodes), as well as the dollar figures also being already present on the Jeopardy! round board in Season 25 and using futuristic bell tones when bringing back the practice of popping in the dollar figures in Season 26.

Calling it now: the only thing that will change is the title card.

Assuming that even that gets changed... they do have a version without the "30th Anniversary" bit on it, they could keep using that.
Granted, seeing some of those nice nuances be reinstated would be a good thing in my book, but pining after them and/or pointing blame for their removal does absolutely zero good whatsoever.

Calling it now: the only thing that will change is the title card. That seems to be the case (as it usually is with Jeopardy!). Doesn't appear to have changed all that much from last season, either. (picture courtesy of Kelly Miyahara) The main difference is that the logo itself is now more goldish and it's on a "stage" instead of a globe, plus there are spotlights on the side and the sunset background is more cloudy and reddish.

I wonder if the Sony Pictures Studio intro is back just like it was with Wheel. No need to quote the image, especially if it's in the post directly above yours.

I've noticed a big similarity to the Season 30 & Season 31 title cards, more so than Seasons 26 & 27.

I could see the season 31 title card on the game board After wheel bringing back the sony intro for their 31st season I think the sony intro should be back for the 31st season of answers and questions

They're reruns of the previous season, like the Saturday reruns. Other stations have been doing this for years now.

They will if they want to. They're not gonna change it because you want them to.
Don't ask again. If you do, it'll be the last question you ever ask on this forum.
