C R U _ C H _ S
Anna finally signals and solves STOMACH CRUNCHES for the thousand dollars.
CONTESTANT INTERVIEWS:
Anna Kavanagh is from Sacramento, California. She had been married twice in the last four months as of taping time, due to her husband planning a 500-mile walking trip across Spain (they had a courthouse wedding before and then their originally planned wedding afterward). She also has a grandmother who recently celebrated her 100th birthday around taping time.
Rick Leasure makes his home in Painesville, Ohio. He's a professional basketball player who has been a member of several teams in other countries (two years each in France and Uruguay and also some time in Luxembourg). He's also had a connection to the Harlem Globetrotters as a former member of the Washington Generals squad.
Kimberlee Spires lives in Lacey, Washington, working in the field of risk management for a major insurance company. She's been married for 21 years to her husband, Jarrell, and they have two children, Benjamin (18) and Sidney (11). Also of note, she has recently lost 60 pounds and hopes to burn a few more calories by spinning the wheel!

Kimberlee makes up for her earlier mistake - she solves CHARCOAL GRILL and takes control of Round 1!
TONIGHT'S FEATURED PRIZE: $7,500 cash courtesy of Post Shredded Wheat (located on the $800 space)
TONIGHT'S GIFT TAG SPONSOR: also Post Shredded Wheat
ROUND 1: FUN & GAMES

_ / _ _ _ _ _
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ / _ _ _ _
Kimberlee lands on the $600 space first, but there is no T, so her turn ends quickly.
Anna spins over to $500 (where the prize is normally) and has better luck with four N's. She then picks up letters in triples, buying I's, selling G's for $700 each, and then purchasing the O's. The ½ Car near $550 comes around next, and one S lets her pull that off the wheel, but then her momentum is derailed by the bad E.
Rick goes first to $700 for the pair of R's and then clears the vowels by taking two A's. Next he picks up some cardboard of his own - the Wild Card - by way of the B. Over to $800 goes the wheel for the K's, then back to $700 for the M...

ROUND 2 (MYSTERY ROUND): BEFORE & AFTER

_ _ _ _ _ _ -
_ _ _ _ _ _
Anna is up first, and she quickly recovers the tag she lost last round by landing on the ½ Car near $550 and getting three R's. She then lands on the Post Shredded Wheat prize, but can't pick it up, as the T is trash.
Rick gets to use the Free Play space twice in a row - first for the A, then the trio of E's. His third spin rolls past Free Play to $650, but he still won't get any money, as the S is bad as well this round.
Kimberlee has a good spin - $3,500 - and finds an N in the puzzle... but only one. She then tries to buy the I, but it's a dud.
Anna lands on the $500 where she previously took the ½ Car tag, and finds a pair of L's for a fast thousand. She buys a couple of O's and then restocks her bank by spinning $650 and putting up three D's. Next is the Mystery Wedge between $700 and $800... Anna picks the G and flips the wedge... and the $10,000 is there! Unfortunately, her joy distracts her into repeating the O purchase she had already done earlier.
Rick would like to extend his slim lead, but the BANKRUPT by $3,500 has other plans for him.
Kimberlee takes the B on the $500 where the ½ Car was, then P on the $500 where the prize should be...

DQ: Anna re-buying the O
Retired Unclaimed: $3,950 + Mystery prize + ½ Car (Anna)

_ _ _ _ _ _ _
Rick barely escapes the Bankrupt with his first spin, but gets a $900 T after his narrow escape. He buys one A and two O's before returning to the $900 and getting knocked out by the N.
Kimberlee won't get any kind of roll going, as the right side of the MDW BANKRUPTs her immediately.
Anna stays out of Lose a Turn by stopping on $800, and two R's give her a little cash. She buys an E, but then her earlier trouble returns as she repeats the N on the $500 where the Wild Card was.
Rick lands on $650 and makes a good pick, calling for the four S's. Clearing the vowels by purchasing the I's and U's costs him $500, but even worse is the LOSE A TURN that costs him control.
Kimberlee marks off three M's on $600...
