has there been a tie on Wheel? because i remember it happening recently, and they do a toss-up to decide the winner. What about in the NBC daytime era, or the early syndicated shows before toss-ups were used?

The WoF Wiki has a great article subsection about it, as seen here.In quick terms: - In the daytime version, if a tie happened, all three contestants returned the next day in order to finish the game, and no Bonus Round was played. I've even recapped one episode where this happened.
- At Nighttime, before the Toss-Up was invented, another Speed Up round was played.
- Otherwise, like the time that happened semi-recently, nowadays a fourth Toss-Up is played.

There has been a tie three times that I could think of. One in 2003, one in 2006 and one in 2016.

A tie during a 1975-89 daytime show if it was during a special week in the Sajak bonus round era was decided by a Speed Up round. Going from 30+ years memory, a couple of times during the 80s daytime run during a Teen Week, there was a tie for third place among monies won. They started the Friday finals show with a Speed Up round between those two tied contestants to see who would make the Friday episode. Ties on the Goen daytime run are believed to have been broken by a Speed Up round as well.

And also, didn't ties in the Woolery era lead to co-champions on the next show (like Jeopardy! used to do)?

I also remember seeing a tie in 1997, either late season 14 or early season 15. It was two females, they played another speed up. That’s all I remember, though.

I've always thought the tiebreaking tossup should be worth, like, a dollar. It would technically break the tie!

^ They made it $1,000 when it happened in 2016, probably just because they didn't have a Toss-Up wipe without an amount attached to it.
