Chuck Haznedl has posted the February 23, 1984(he says that's the airdate or tapedate) episode of nighttime WOF from the original broadcast to his Youtube page. Get it before Sony does.

Players are Chuck/Sonja/Cindy. Per the uploader, ...So there's that solved, which is good since there's no commercials or credits. Rare acknowledgement of a puzzle applying to more than one category (in this case, Round 1: "it's also a Phrase, so keep that in mind"). Also rare to see a player putting money On Account, especially after being told "Hey, you can get this thing." Ooh, the Wheel Prize is a trip to Lake Tahoe worth $566! ...Seriously? ...Mid-show fee plugs? Wasn't expecting that. TPH, if you're still working on your Bonus Puzzle Compendium, here's that info: 18 April 1984 - Thing - GINGER ALE - L N T S R E - Pontiac Fiero ($12,752) - Yes

There was a IIRC roughly $500 video camera on the wheel in round two during the first season, and a $500 cash prize as well during the first season one time(with a single $ sign on the space), so that's not the least expensive prize. There were mid-show fee plugs coming out of one of the commercial breaks during the first season at least on some episodes. Of course, there were car and gift certificate plugs on a lot of daytime episodes through the Rolf era. The mini commercials seen as fee plugs during the first season never were seen again on nighttime WOF until late in season 13(1995-96) IIRC. Some first season episodes, IIRC they were earlier taped episodes, had a mid-round commercial break during either round two or three. I don't remember if those shows had four or five commercial breaks(the daytime show always did five commercial breaks through the Rolf era).

I believe by November of 83, the mid-round commercial breaks were eliminated and four breaks on nighttime, while the daytime show always did five commercial breaks, i wonder why the daytime show didn't do 4 breaks like nighttime?

Jack Clark used to plug the car or the gift certificate provider coming out of one of the breaks during the daytime show often.
