The letter often comes a little after 14 days, often on Thursdays or Fridays.
Being asked to stay means that they need to see more of you in action, an "in-betweener" if you will. Those who are asked to leave right after the test are either definite yeses or definite nos.

I got mine on day 15 after Denver finals in January.
Another question to those who know, when they call or email with a tape date, is it less than 2 weeks out? I figure the contestant coordinators are super busy every other Thursday & Friday on taping days.

It takes about 2 to 3 weeks. I remember getting an e-mail from Shannon about the taping date for Great American Cities: Denver Week on Leap Day 2016.

I am the extreme exception. I would've gotten my letter on day 15 (a Saturday) but the mail never came for some reason. I got the letter on Monday when the missing mail was delivered with that day's mail. Then what was supposed to be the easy part turned into a little over two years. I owe everything to Teddy for finally putting the Wheel in motion. The letter was November 16, 2015 but the email was January 25, 2018. However, as any fan will tell you it was well worth the wait. I made more than the minimum and got the trip I was hoping to win.

Hey MarioGS...just curious why Thursday or Fridays usually?
For me I never actually received a letter, I just got a call a few days after audition. Mainly because they needed alternates so why bother sending a letter.

Thanks for all the replies! So at what point would you say that you should assume you haven’t been picked? TWO WEEKS TODAY FOR ME!!! Sweating bullets waiting on the mail to run!! Looks like most people got their letter AFTER the 2 week point tho?? What point should you accept that you didn’t get picked? A month? |

A month seems good. Usually, it comes around 15-16 days after, often on a Friday or Saturday, but I've heard some reports of people not getting it until three weeks.
There is also a very small possibility that they may still ask you to tape even if you did not get the letter, but don't hold out hope for this. Just consider it a nice surprise should it happen.

I got mine in 19 days! I will say they were the longest 19 days of my life as well!

We just got our letter/email and we auditioned six months ago. I don't know if this is because we auditioned as a couple or what.

I got my acceptance letter on day 15; a Friday, then got my email with taping date 8 months later. Lots of time to practice

I had my second audition April 19th, got the Letter May 1st and was called around June 21st for a tape date of July 14th in Culver City ;-) So fun, wish I could do it again!
