Hey guys!
I'm going to do something different today, and that is recap an episode from Wheel 2000! Most say that this episode wasn't pretty, but is it that bad? I'll make that discovery. Anyway, here we go!
Host: David Sidoni
Girl in the Wall: Lucy
All right, now that we've introduced the hosts, let's meet the contestants!
Alyssa: 7th grade. Likes to rollerblade and to make jewelry. She's also on the swim team.
Nicole: 7th grade. Enjoys softball and soccer. Loves talking on the phone. Currently attends Hebrew school and has a Bat Mitzvah next year (crowd applauds)!
Simon: 7th grade. Takes photography and is a TV Fanatic (which the crowd also applauds to).
You probably know this by now, but the kids out there play for points and prizes, not cash. just a friendly reminder. Also, today's featured game is called Wash and Wear Words! There's also a wheeloffortune2000.com wedge for which a lucky viewer could win what the contestants win!
Round 1
Alyssa will select the category first since she won the coin toss...

... and EVERY BODY will be her selection (One Word Alert).

But she misses with an R on 500 (so my original thought of CEREBRUM is debunked). Nicole gets a T on 650, but buys a bad A. Simon immediately hits the wheeloffortune2000.com wedge! The lucky viewer for today comes from Jennifer of Newark Delaware. Simon gets an S up there for 750, so Jennifer wins the T-shirt! But that doesn't stop there! He lands on the Wash and Wear Words wedge which means that he gets to play today's game!
Game Objective: Try to spell as many words as you can from head to toe (4 letter words only). Once you have a complete word, hit the buzzer to randomly receive a letter (3 letters maximum and you still have to tell what the word is). A minute will be provided for this game.
Simon grabs an A shirt, an M short, an E shoe, and the G hat! He hits the buzzer and yells GAME (receives a C)! He has less than 30 seconds though. He switches the G hat for a C and hits the buzzer to shout CAME (receives a P)! He switches hats one more time for a T to shout TAME (receives a D)!
He is NOT going to to take the risk as he decides to spin for his own letters (he might know something at this point). Simon gets an N on 300, buys an E, gets an L on 450, but BLOWS HIS TURN with a C on 250. That bad move can cost him 1,250 points. Alyssa gets a K on 250 to leave the vowel remaining.
S K E L E T _ N
This is a system of bones that are in our body, and she knows that it is a SKELETON for 250. Mike form the LA Dodgers tells people about the smallest bone in the body (the sternum). Alyssa also gets the Wild Animal Park Camping Package to enjoy as well.
Duds: R (Alyssa), A (Nicole), C (Simon)
Pre-Round 2 Scores:
Alyssa: 250 + Camping
Nicole: She'll start the next round.
Simon: Doesn't know how to spell.
For the next round, a 2000 wedge is ready to be hit!
Round 2
Nicole gets to pick the category next since she'll be starting this round.

Her selection will be ABOVE & BELOW (Another 1-liner).

She immediately gets 2 T's on 400 and buys 3 E's along the way. She gets an R on 150 and spins 700 next, but the last consonant is definitely NOT a P. Simon lands on the PRIZE BOX and gets 100 from an M. The prize today is a digital personal stereo. The vowels are left...
M E T E _ R _ T E
...and solves METEORITE for the prize plus 500 additional points. Lucy then tells thestudents kids what that is (which is basically a shooting star). Simon also gets an Electric Boombox to enjoy as well.
SOLE MAJOR DUD: P (Nicole)
Pre-Round 3 Scores:
Alyssa: 250 + Camping
Nicole: UNLUCKY
Simon: 500 + Stereo + Boombox
Want some big points? 5000 is ready to be hit!
Round 3
It will be Simon's turn to choose...

Simon gets 600 from an S, but duds out with an R on 500. Alyssa doesn't do any better with an R on 250. Nicole then gets 2 T's on 250.
S _ T _ _ _ _ T _
(Choo-Choo!)
Yep, that sound means that time is running short, so David will give the wheel one more spin.........and lands on 250.
Nicole: No C
Simon: No N
Alyssa: 2 L's
Nicole: Just solves the puzzle.
S _ T _ L L _ T _
Oddly enough, the vowel beeps don't sound during the Speed-Up, but Nicole knows that it's a SATELLITE for 500. Lucy then tells the kids about Sputnik (which I learned about towards the end of 10th grade in World History). Nicole also gets a Wildlife Videotape Collection.
End Totals:
Alyssa: 250 + Camping
Nicole: 500 + Videotapes
Simon: 500 + Stereo + Boombox
Yep, we have a Tie! This means that one more very short puzzle will be put up to determine who's the champion!
Tiebreaker: Lab Test

Simon: No S

Simon: 1 R
Nicole: No L
Simon: 2 M's

I was afraid that someone was going to say MEMORY and Nicole fell for it. Simon also blows it as well with MEMORIZE.
Nicole: No K
Simon: No L
Nicole: 1 B
Simon: 1 A
M E M B R A _ E
Simon FINALLY ends this NIGHTMARE of a round by solving MEMBRANE for the win! Lucy then tells that the membrane is a cell covering. He also wins some Videogames as well.
Total Unclaimed Points: 3,450 ((Alyssa: 500) + (Nicole: 400 in Round 1 + 700 in Round 2) + (Simon: 1250 in Round 1 + 600 in Round 3))
AMAZINGLY NO CREATURE TRASH OR LOSER HITS!
BONUS ROUND
Given the way things have been going here, I DO NOT like Simon's chances about winning here. But he's up there and takes the A envelope.
