You know how almost EVERY TIME Pat revealed the big one in the bonus round ($100,000 or Million), he spoils it by quickly closing it and does the spiel like “Hey, at least you won $X0,000, I don’t think it matters what’s inside”? He even does it today! However, there were times where Pat DID reveal the big one immediately. Here are the times where he did them (and correct me if I’m wrong): 3/11/08 (Same episode as the APOLOGY post-buzzer solve.) 11/26/08 (Credit to mechamind for that one. I can’t find video footage of that one.) 11/03/11 11/30/16 11/15/17 Feel free to comment!

“Hey, at least you won $X0,000, I don’t think it matters what’s inside”? I think "$1X,XXX and that trip" is more appropriate for that.

^ True, since most people win the game with the featured prize and/or the prize puzzle. I think the last time the winner lost $100,000 without the featured prize/prize puzzle was 11/30/16.

I remember a video which I believe was the puzzle FISHPOND.
After the puzzle was revealed, Pat said "I'm sorry". Then he opened the envelope and said "Now I'm REALLY sorry" without hiding it. It was the $100K, when the audience reaction to a loss was much louder.
