You thought I was done with the recaps, eh? Well, I got one more for you readers to enjoy before you start watching the next season of both Wheel and Jeopardy (the latter show has an interesting tournament airing in February).
This recap is from season 24, one of the most interesting seasons of the entire show, IMO. Even more of a coincidence? While writing up this recap, I was participating in a net game of the show hosted by Kevin Kolsen (In summary, it's what the show would've looked like if it was still a daytime series in early 2007. Here's the evidence.)!
All right, enough with the dillydallying. Let's get this recap started!
--------
Theme Week: Far East Adventures (Other recapped episodes from this week: March 16)
Well, the theme week that I WAS participating in on the net game was Far Off Places, so this is kinda close-ish. The set looks beautiful, though.
Anyway, we must begin this game with a $1,000 Tossup!
$1,000 Tossup: In The Kitchen

Alex gets an ILLUSTRATED COOKBOOK. Who are today's travelers?
Alex Mason: Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Architect. Moved to LA a year ago to be with his (insert unnecessary positive adjectives) future wife, Nicole. Part of an indoor soccer team. He's a male btw.
Rebeka Fluat: From Candia, New Hampshire. Senior at Providence College who is majoring in marketing. Loves to ski and travel.
Deb Heeley: East Elmhurst, New York (originally from Pennsylvania). Field manager for a political confessing firm. Also a cybersleuth.
We need to supply one more tossup for double the money!
$2,000 Tossup: On The Map

Alex does it again by pinpointing BANGLADESH!
What's there for Round 1? There's the oreo, the WILD CARD, an AA gift tag, and a trip to TOKYO JAPAN worth $5,900! And before Round 1 starts, Pat asks Charlie why it's called the "Land of the Rising Sun" along with some other witty remarks!
$10,000 Round: Food & Drink (Also the Prize Puzzle Round)

Along with an extra $2,700, Rebeka will get to enjoy A SLICE OF COCONUT LAYER CAKE on her trip to the Waikiki Beach Mariott Resort worth $6,809! That round was worth $9,509 to this lady!

But Deb immediately gets some bad luck with a LOSE A TURN. Alex calls 2 N's on the Mystery. Knowing that he's way behind, he's going for it...oops.
Rebekah gets 3 T's on $800, but buys a bad A.
Deb gets 2 H's on $400, buys 2 E's, but the LOSE A TURN strikes her again.
Alex gets a K on $300, but he unfortunately repeats the A next. Rebekah doesn't do any better by hitting a LOSE A TURN. Everyone's got at least one penalty space now.
Deb gets an S on $800, buys 2 I's, but goofs with an R on $400.
Alex gets a D on $300 and asks to solve.
