I made it to the final auditions back in 2012 when I was about 5 months pregnant (and probably looked 10 months pregnant...lol) and made it through all the cuts but never got a letter. I just recently received another shot this summer at a final audition. I was bummed I wasn't picked to make the "cut" when they called out names this time but I received a letter in the mail exactly three weeks to the day of the final audition date!! I am beyond excited! Now...the wait begins. Part of me is dying to call them and make sure they have my correct phone number, etc. in order to get in touch with me and the other part of me says to remain calm and patient. It's been two weeks since I've received the letter and I've read it can take up to 18 months or even longer to get the call. Can you all give me some insight as to how this works? I am guaranteed to receive a phone call for a taping date at some point if I received the letter, right? Do they normally make taping appointments during the weeks of active tapings for future dates or do they make those appointments on the off weeks? I'm just trying to determine what weeks I could anticipate a phone call from a California number...lol. Any advice or experience you'd be willing to share would be much appreciated!

The short answer: have patience.
The long answer: I waited 10 months between letter and tape date email. Other members on this very forum have waited even longer than that. There's really no indication of when you can expect a call because it's highly variable...so go forth and be productive, and be pleasantly surprised when the call comes!

It was a lot easier to wait on the letter I didn't think I was receiving since I didn't make the cut...lol. I will try not to think about it but that is harder said than done. I got a phone call from an unidentified CA number today and got so excited only to answer a telemarketer. Haha! I am a teacher so I am wondering deep down if they are holding my info for the next taping of teacher week....next summer.

Hi Wheelgirl,
Just to add my two cents: I got the letter May 1st, and was called in mid-June for a taping of July 14th. Have some patience and I'm sure everything will be fine. Rest assured they have your contact info for when they need you. Sit tight and practice playing WHEEL when you can!
