New to the board--hello!
Is it just me or has there been an inordinate amount of automobiles compared to previous years in the final round? I don't think the contestants or viewers have ever been told the ratio of cars/money on that little wheel--any chance they increased the number of cards that are cars versus money?

I think it's quite likely that there's more cars than $36,000 envelopes. They need to offset that (pointless) $1,000-a-year increase to the Bonus Round (cash) minimum... of course, they'll never let on to viewers that the true minimum is now the car.

Tonight (10/18) the contestant won a Mazda SUV which was a little under $28,000. They should give them the difference between the price of the car and the $36,000 minimum. Added spoiler tag. Tonight's Bonus Round still has not aired for most people as of this post.

Yes, if you're going to post comments about the current day's show immediately after it airs outside of the recap thread, please put it in a spoiler. Thank you.
