press.gsntv.com/resources/press-releases/game-show-network-announces-new-episodes-of-documentary-series-cover-storyGSN's Cover Story has been renewed for another season, and Wheel of Fortune will be featured in not one, but TWO episodes of the show. For those of you not aware with GSN's "Cover Story", Cover Story is a documentary series, mostly about game shows and memorable game show moments. For example, there was an episode about Michael Larson's infamous run on Press Your Luck, and a documentary about "The Price is Right'. Not all of the episodes are about game shows, though. Wheel Of Fortune will be part of the season premiere, which is about big/memorable game show winners. The second time Wheel of Fortune will be featured, and probably the most important of the two episodes, will be an ENTIRE documentary on the history of Wheel of Fortune (so far), with impressive solves, infamous mis-solves, etc. The season premiere will air on October 21st, while the documentary based solely on Wheel of Fortune will air on November 4th on GSN (Game Show Network). - acwof

an ENTIRE documentary on the history of Wheel of Fortune (so far), with impressive solves, infamous mis-solves, etc. That's...not quite what the page says: Based on that, it's pretty much just a clip show that'll probably focus on the past 10-15 years. I'd be legit surprised if they dug into the archives and pulled out some daytime stuff, especially since Rolf Benirschke had a couple of infamous blunders during his tenure. If they show the AT MY CAT'S END missolve (1986 nighttime), hopefully they'll show what happened after that weird guess - particularly since it swings the pendulum right back to "amazing solve".

Good Lord, some of the editing on these clips. If you thought the 2016 episode dubbing in 2017-18 was bad...
Nearly all of the various solve fanfares pre-Season 24 are dubbed over either with the 2006-16 or 2002-06 main round solve cue, and whenever possible, the older Toss-Up cues are poorly dubbed with the 2007-16 version, but whenever somebody speaks, you can still clearly hear the original cues.

It's like Sony said "Look, we can pay this much in music royalties, but no more." And here I thought the clip edits during Season 30 were haphazard...
