Source: andynwof.wordpress.com/2018/11/15/a-s34-contestant-is-coming-back-this-season/Despite Wheel of Fortune's "once in a lifetime" rule, sometimes, some people get a second chance. According to Andy Nguyen (fellow WOF recap guide and Season 35 contestant), Immani Brown-Turner, a contestant from Season 34 who appeared on "Home for the Holidays" week, will be returning for a second time on November 30 2018 during "European Vacation" week. Here is the recap from her first appearance : buyavowel.boards.net/thread/8859/december-23-2016-recapAccording to her, the reason as to why she is returning is due to a buzzer malfunction that happened during the $3,000 Toss-Up. Despite finishing with a solid second place total, she lost by almost $4,000, and her buzzer malfunction must have made the difference between her winning the game, and coming in second place. It was stated that she posted this in the WOF Alums group on Facebook. I don't have the proof for that, though. Note: tenpoundhammer also stated in the recap posted above that she would be returning. If memory serves me right, this is the first time since 2008 that a contestant gets to return for a second time on Wheel of Fortune. - acwof

Good to see the show still has this exception, though the fact this issue took nearly two years to rectify is a bit odd.

I saw the news. Interesting to see though.
Now if they could make GOOSEEGG WEEK a real thing (a week filled with contestants that didn’t win anything on their first show).

Here's a video I made to promote Immani's reappearance, featuring footage of her original appearance showing the trouble with her buzzer.
I doubt this is going to get even half the attention Jeopardy! got for bringing back a wronged player recently, but I'm just really happy that Wheel is finally doing this again.

^ Totally irrelevant to the topic but...
I LOVE your new avatar Mario! It reminds me of Eugene B's episode back in 1998!

I wonder how much it matters that the difference between her winning and losing was that $6,000 swing. Does she get invited back anyway if she lost by $15,000 because it could have affected the final portion of the game?
Of course we'll never know whether she actually knew the answer to the toss up when she was ringing in anyway.

I think we all know the tossup buzzers suck. Pretty telling that recap thread has several posts and not a mention of it.

Good to see the show still has this exception, though the fact this issue took nearly two years to rectify is a bit odd. The reason it took so long was because it took three attempts for the show to give Immani a tape date where she was available. She appealed in January 2017, the month after her show aired. She was put back in the contestant pool, but the first two times they contacted her to tape, she was not available for personal and work-related reasons.

Now, as for other contestants that need to be brought back... Jaime Crawley from May 2, 2011. He was denied the opportunity to go to the Bonus Round due to the crew forgetting to put the Million Dollar Wedge on the Wheel for that episode (meaning that there was no way to play for the million to begin with; that itself should have been a major S&P issue). One of his opponents hit the MDW's usual $800 spot, called a right letter on it, solved the puzzle, and won by $400. Jean-Anthony Doloir from October 12, 2017. He also finished in second as a direct result of a wedge error. The Prize Wedge (a generic $10,000 cash bonus) was mistakenly left on the Wheel for Round 3, even though ever since mid-Season 29, it is now always removed after Round 2 if it isn't picked up. Another player ended up winning the Prize Wedge in Round 3 (which shouldn't even be possible anymore) and beat Jean-Anthony by less than $10,000. After it aired, I tried to track Jean-Anthony down, but I couldn't find him anywhere.

Also: Andre Browm from 9/28/12His buzzer malfunctioned at the 2nd tossup. Imagine how different it would’ve been had he took control of the wheel in Round 1.

Not sure what episode you're talking about, but that isn't the right date, as that recap has Evan, Harold, and Rosa as contestants.
