When the Wheel of Fortune Classic YouTube Channel came up, I made a playlist of the videos that don't have a proper recap up to a certain point. I'm down to three left on that list. I understand that this channel is not the original taper for any of the content on the channel, but I take it as an easy way to measure which episodes have been recapped or not. What I don't respect is the monetization of all the videos on the channel. I sincerely hope that Sony Pictures is profiting from the 1.8 million views that this channel is receiving.
RETRO RECAP: 6/9/87 Daytime
Look at this studio, filled with glamorous prizes! Filled with exciting merchandise, including: A $1,000 cash jackpot! This $13,000 summer vacation showcase! These beautiful $2,400 leaf ear clips! And this fantastic fully-equipped camper/trailer. Over $84,000 just waiting to be won today on Wheel of Fortune! And now, back from his vacation, Pat Sajak!
An observation and a question. Jack Clark starts to crack up in the middle of "$13,000", and continues to giggle throughout the rest of the spiel. Also, can someone figure out what is meant by Pat coming back from vacation? Do we have records of a substitute host while he was gone?
Here are today's contestants!
Carmen Benadino?: is from Stanford, CT. She is a legal secretary. She has a husband and daughter, and enjoys horseback riding, cooking, and watching Wheel of Fortune!
Kelley Tross: is from Dallas, TX. She sings Top 40 and dance music. She won a $22,000 cash jackpot, giving her a grand total of $25,800 yesterday! She has a lucky heart-shaped pin, which apparently worked. (Paging WarioSajak , I think the Timeline states that the Jackpot was won twice in a row on June 5 and June 8, with a $21,000 Jackpot won on June 5. This episode disproves that theory, unless this episode is dated wrong in the Compendium.)
Mark Walder: is from Des Moines, IA. He is a hearing officer, and collects political buttons. He recently got a bumper sticker that says "Vanna White for President".
