Here's another recap on a Wheel Across America episode, this time from 1998.
WHEEL ACROSS AMERICA
AIR DATE: 5/28/98
Today's contestants are as follows:
Mike Couture (Provider of the episode.): Menifee, California. Operates heavy equipment. He and his wife had a baby girl. Played with G.I. Joes growing up.
Mark Calhoun: Pearl, Mississippi. Car Salesman. Has 4 children. Loves to spin the wheel at home and play Barbie dolls with baby Chelsea (Ken is his favorite doll.). Also plays golf.
Ginger Nemmens: Memphis, Tennessee. 23 years old. Married with a one-year-old daughter (!?). A nursing student that works in hospitals. Also a part-time substitute dance instructor. Skipper was her favorite Barbie doll.
If you're wondering, I never played with Barbie dolls growing up. I was more of a Hot Wheels kind of guy.
(SURPRISE and FREE SPIN are up for grabs.)

MCDI.......add nothing. His two guesses of PEBBLE and PEOPLE are one letter too short. He doesn't get KEYHOLE for the Jeep Cherokee. He still gets $12,600 and the right to play at the Friday Finals.
(11 years later, Jacquelyn Brubaker would face that same puzzle. See how well she does on that.)
Closing Chat: The lack of bonus prizes given away.
My Grade: B (I thought that all of the contestants were very likable and the audience was pretty enthusiastic.)
