I have a lovely friend who was on the show in 1992 but she doesn't have a copy of the episode. Can anyone help me find it? Her name is Roxanne and she thinks it was later in the year.

The 1992-93 season of syndicated WOF aired on GSN circa 1997-98, and the 1991-92 never aired on GSN and hasn't aired since 1992-93, on stations that aired weekend reruns of the previous season.

Yes, a DVD of an episode costs $75, and I believe Roxanne herself would have to be the one to buy it as well. We've had somebody here try to buy a DVD of a friend's appearance on their behalf but they were denied. So Roxanne knows she was on in 1992, but it would also help if we knew which season she was on. Assuming the show was taped in LA and not elsewhere, does she remember if the backdrops behind the contestants were diamond-shaped like this...  ...or round like this?  The diamond ones changed to the round ones in 1992, so that would help narrow things down a bit. |

Then crazywheellady, if it's the rounded backdrops, good news, Roxanne's episodes were aired on the week of December 14-18, 1992 and there are video collectors out there who have Roxanne's appearances from that week. Since GSN reran that week of episodes, then all you had to do is have someone who had GSN during the time they were rerunning Season 10 regularly. Now that you got the clues, some extra hints you might remember is the BALE OF HAY puzzle where Vanna left out the "O", maybe that could be the reason why they changed the puzzleboard later in the decade.
